LINCOLN, Neb. - The state Supreme Court on Friday rejected an inmate’s appeal that the electric chair amounts to cruel and unusual punishment, leaving Nebraska as still the only state with electrocution as its sole means of execution.
No American court has ever ruled that electrocution amounts to cruel and unusual punishment. But as legal challenges were mounted against its use, others states adopted alternative methods of execution, primarily lethal injection.
“Nebraska ... now is alone in the United States, actually in the whole world, in still requiring electrocution,” Carey Dean Moore’s lawyer, Alan Peterson, argued to the court. “Nebraska is the last holdout for this universally rejected and condemned sole means of capital punishment.”:stunned: :stunned: :stunned: :stunned:

In Utah, you can still choose to be executed by a firing squad. And there are actually guys on death row there that want it.

I WOULD MUCH RATHER TAKE BUMBA IN THE ASS THAN SIT IN A CHAIR WAITING TO GET SHOT:knife:

The electric chair doesn't kill them the first time, every time. I think it's a great way to kill those bastards that have killed others on purpose! I have a friend that her sons girlfriend was raped and killed by a couple of dirtbags. The guy that really killed her died before he got to the electric chair. Too bad. I bet there would have been a big party outside after the execution! I woulda been there, that's for sure. Fucking bastards!
As far as imume to electric shocks, I have a tens unit that I use sometimes.... I'm kinda used to shocks, although, mine doesn't dim the lights when it goes off!

Killing people is grizzley work. Watching them die is not much fun either. No matter what they did. I am not against the death penealty. I just don't what to watch some one die. I have seen people die. I would not be in the mood to party after seeing that. It never fixes the reason they had to die in the first place. Then you get to re-live the trauma of the incident. When does the real healing begin? If ever.
