I'm thinking of changing my pipes somewhere down the road. Any suggestions on what to get. I want louder, but not HD, wake the neighbors loud.

I have the hard krome stagered straight pipes. They are loud but not to bad if you keep the rpms down untill you are out of your neighborhood. They have removable baffels so you can make them louder or wrap them to make it quieter.I think they look better cuz they are the same diamiter for the full length and no heat shelds just double wall pipe for the hole length. They are a bit more than the cobras or v&h pipes.
Here's a pic of mine.

Hey Smoke,... I really dig my Vance and Hines Straightshots with Velocity tips,...
But honestly,... There are a few GREAT companies out there making awesome pipes,... You really can't go wrong with most of them,... Listen to your brothers for advice,... On the site I've heard about Vance and Hines,... Hard Krome,... Cobra,... Etc,... Pick one and let's get rockin',... Later bro,... YellowMan

Are you still running stock pipes? If you are,... I know why you want to change 'em,...

Smoke I suggest Vance & Hnes anything. There loud but not to loud. I have Burbs and they are loud, But they have a nice rumble to them.

Burbs are the way to go for loud and for looks . I got a set . No baffles , so if ya want baffles or think ya might . I would get something else thats less exotic .I dont know if Adam offers that as an option . I would email him and find out . In Oregon a motorcycle is not supposed to exceed 99dbs . I might be breaking that law .

Oh yeah, got the stockers.
Figure best way to get ideas about mods is to check with people who have done it. Thanks for the info bro. :fireman:

Just decide on what style you like and check ebay and the shadow forums first cuz you might get a deal on used ones.I got mine on this site and saved alot of cash over new ones.

Over at TSW Buck posted a web site that has links to every states laws regarding motorcycles . If I get a chance I will look up Ohio . A guy there put some apes on his bike and was wondering if it was legal . So try the thread about apehangers if ya get the chance before me .

I am sorry , I had to say it . I am a huge punisher fan and that story about him dressing up like the punisher and chasing that guy that his girlfriend was probibly fucking was too funny .

Not sure where to search for your local state. I was able to find the information by searching a government website for the highway traffic act up north of the border. For my locality, they stated it had to be horizontal and illuminated. Aside from that there was no mention of placement on a bike. Do a search on google for the plate laws in your state.
