Hey Guys,
Last night I got the call any fellow rider dreads getting. My dad called around 8:30 last night and said he had wrecked his bike. Also told me that at that time my mom was unconcious. He was going crazy and tried to calm him down. He had already called 911 and luckily someone stopped to help them. I hauled some major ass cuz it was about 45 miles from my hometown and they had just put them in ambulance when I got there. He said he heard and felt like the rear tire blowing out. After that there was nothing he could do to control it. Luckily he was able to get it in the ditch, where they crashed. He said he tried to slide the bike in on the right side but the back rim dug in and flipped the bike over throwing them off. My mom, looking from her injuries, landed on the left side of her face. She fractured some of the bones below her eye and around her mouth. Also she broke her ring finger. Other than that she is just going to be sore. She has also for now lost her short term memory. My dad landed on his shoulder breaking his collar bone and his arm must have gotten trapped between him and the ground cuz he has a few fractured ribs. They actually released my mom last night and my dad is still in the hospital getting xrays and MRI's. Thanks in advance for all of your concerns. They will pull through but it is going to be awhile. I'll post updates as I get them.

Sorry to hear about the accident. I'm glad it didn't turn out any worse that it is. Broken bones can heal.

I hope for a speedy recovery.

Thanks guys.....Just got off the phone with my brother and the cleared my dad's neck for any injuries. Just kind streched his muscles a little bit. So they loaded him down with some heavy meds and going to send him home. I'l be busy for the rest of the summer, my dad mowed yards on the side after work and now my borthers and I will be taking care of it for the rest of the year.

Hey Purp. Sorry to hear about your parents. I hope they both get back up to speed soon. It may be alot of work for you and your brothers while they are down but consider the other option that you would have had. Gald to hear that both of them are going to make a full recovery from it...

I'm sure my dad will get back on but my mom has already said she couldn't get back on.
I'm hoping to be able to fix up his bike, 1986 Kawasaki Voyager, for him. He owed a little money on it so he only had liability insurance, so he is on his own on it. The VTX i wanted may not come this year.

Prayers up for your mom & dad, Purp. And my best wishes to you and your brothers as you take over your dad's work temporarily. That's how families should work!
