Master Link - Which one?

Hi All,
Just put on a 39t. Went to the stealer to get a Master link. They only have the rivit type. I believe I need the one with the clip (rk525 - did 525 o ring master). Where can I get one asap? and what do I ask for? Thanks< jeff

Not sure of the part number, but as long as it's for a 525 o ring type chain you should be fine.
Just be sure to install it facing the right direction!!! When you are driving, the opening should be to the back of the direction of the chain travel. Best way to remember it, is fish swim upstream. Also make sure you get the clip closed.

I went through the same crap when I installed my 37T. I still had the factory chain and all the semi knowledgable parts sources that I know told me the same story: Apparently master links are brand specific. I don't know for sure, so I just got the factory rivit kind. Hell, back in the ol' days it didn't matter as long as it was the correct size. Don't guess anything is easy any more. Oh well, just my .02 worth
