It was a great class very informative.... Got a total of 8 points.... 3 for having to do the quick stop a second time although the other students as well as I said that I didnt start slowing till after the curve and 5 for "Going to slow into a turn" and I was scraping the peg the whole curve....
Figure 8 sucks and is super hard after only 3 or 4 practice runs.... I cheated during the eval and pushed up the choke a little bit... not really fair considering that bike must of been dropped a couple dozen times as the clutch lever was bent to hell and didnt pick up "friction point" until 1/8in off the top which isn't like either of my bikes...
Got yelled at a couple of times for not using both brakes, not really my fault cause the brake pedal was really high and bent to the left... after a while got used to riding it, because it didn't seem to engage till the very bottom...
All in all great class.....Great Coaches.... Will probably take the advanced riders class with them at the end of the season... Only downside is in NY I still gotta wait 3-5 weeks to get my waiver in the mail.... Will probably still go to Laconia next weekend though.
Good to hear you passed. Take some pics while you're there.

Great news! Congrats!!!
Had the same issue with going to slow coming out of the turn...well, if my instructor's fat hind end hadn't been standing in the middle of the path we were riding! :madani: Wonder how many points I would have gotten if I would have run her over? :idea2: :laugh4:

Congrats on passing!!! It's nice to see more people taking a course to start out with.
Up here sux, they charge an arm and a leg for the course and don't offer any form of 'refresher' course at a reduced rate.
I think it's about $350.00 here in TX.

Thanks all.... I actually had a license before in NYS... I moved to NH about 7 years ago and when I moved they didnt transfer my M class.... I fell off my CBR and didnt think I would ride again so it really didnt occur to me until I moved back to NY and didn't have the M.... So Now I'm legal again, and the class was a great refresher..... I had a blast through practice....
Although there was a father/son duo that shouldnt of been in the class to begin with... The father kept falling and the son was scared of the bike... Almost ran over the both of them a few times cause either they were going to slow or on the floor...
The kid passed the father dropped the bike on the figure 8..... God help us all...

Congrats SECGEEK!!
I'm in So. Cal and getting ready to take the course myself.
If your under 21 here you have to take it!
Now you're wondering...
They have one at a college campus for $235 and 5 bucks for the pork-u pass. Gotta get that.
Then they waive the drive test at the DMV.
I'll do damn near anything to get outta there quick as shit!
still have to take the written of course...
I saw an ad that there is an Advanced Riders Course being offered for FREE at the "Verizon Amphitheater" end of JUNE for anyone in SO Cal
I think it was on the CHP web site but not sure.
I've been all over like a sleeze for info after getting this bike!
