Morgan, our 5 year old Redbone Coonhound has got to go. She's a great dog. But with the hours we both work. We don't pay enough attention to her and she's starting to get a little spiteful. We figure if we could find her a home where someone is around more than we are it would bebetter for her.

Nice looking dog... I think you need a kitten to replace her! Our cats have had 8 kittens in the last 2 weeks! I can mail them to you! You want them smoked or just frozen raw?

We were going to try some of the local shelters. But they would put her down if she didn't get adopted. I couldn't have that on my conscience

I understand that. She is a beautiful dog! Now the cats, I don't have any feelings for.... other than a food source! Especially 8 of them!

Sorry to hear that you have to give up your dog. Check this site out it may help you out. http://www.petfinder.com/ I got my Jack Russell from a resue site and they make sure that the dog gets placed in a good home. You could even keep the dog until a suitable owner is found. When I adopted my Russell I actualy picked him up at the owners house. Good Luck.

Are you looking to keep her local? Does she have papers? Is she fixed? Good with kids? The wife and I have been talking about getting a dog for Magnus and Thor.

Try petfinder, craigslist or some local rescue groups..... Shelters whatever they say will still put them down... Also there are some no kill state shelters... Try to find one near you...

No papers, we rescued her about two years ago. She's fixed also. She's fine with my kids. But she does get moody at times and her stubborn side comes out. If your kids are youger than say 8-10 I'd say no, just because when she gets in her moods she growls a little.

Im going to ask around, I have a friend or two that may be interested..but you can look into http://www.nsalamerica.org/ (North Shore Animal League out on Long Island, NY). They are the largest non-profit no kill adoption and rescue shelter in the world. Sooo, as a last resort, you can always take a ride out to LI, at least you know she would be safe. Id take her but we already have 2 dogs and have our hands full.:rolleyes3
