Remove Exhaust Tip [Archive]

Question People...

How does the Tip come off the Exhaust? Mine is spot welded (at least it looks that way).

It it time to start modding the exhaust!!! :jamming:

Yes, the tip is spot welded on. I had to go and check mine to be sure. Most of the mods describe the 750 Ace exhaust which is slightly different. The tip on the Ace exhaust is mounted with three screws.

You can typically get at a spot weld with a titanium drill bit or a dremmel -- whichever you're more comfortable with.

I was looking at a bit closer last night. Honda did a really shit job on this part. I looks like it is JB weled on instead of a spot weld.

Rev you're saying that i should just drill it out, and then what ? replace it with a SS screw i guess.
