Watched Buil or Bust culd not beleive that Jesse Rooke did that shit!! just to show you that everything boils down to $$$$, he took the free exposure of the show but he did look like an ass on tv.

I could not attend the buld off taping because it was filmed on december 3,4,5, and my father in law was killed on december 2 in a freak car accident, that was the worst weekend of my life.

The other guys name is Roland Sands... a rich kid, he is the vp of Perfomance Machine, his dad owns the company. He is just a spoiled rich kid, the bike was cool.

Roland Sands was an AMA Super Bike Champion. I wouldn't go as far as saying he is just a spoiled little rich kid. The dude has talent designing and riding bikes. Gotta give hime props for doing his own original thing on a Cruiser.

Roland came off as a bit spolied but I did like the look of his bike. Cool cross between chop and sport bike. I liked his bike better than Ness's.

Ness is insane. You have got to give him props just for having some of the wackiest ideas.

Roland's bike was cool.

I think it is interesting how the long, low, stretch is being taken a step further.

As far as Rooke is concerned, he has some cool ideas, but I would not pay anything for one of his bikes. Oh and when I was watching the episode with Rooke and he was always riding around with his shirt off, my wife watched in and said, "Gees, if you think you are so 'hot' that you have the right not to wear a shirt all the time, maybe you should work out a little bit." I love my wife!

The premise of the show is that a novice builder with a little skill comes in and tries to build a bike under the watchful eye of Russell Mitchel. If he approves and they build it in under 30 days, they get to keep the bike. Fail and they go away with a good experience. Hence the title "Build or Bust".

Well for this, the first episode I think, Jesse Rooke brought one of his bikes in and that is what the guy is supposed to build using some Exile parts and other stuffs (Roland showed up with some parts in the 2nd episode).

Well the guy was totally overwhelmed as I think most people would be and got the boot ont he first day. I felt bad for him. Of course he almost screwed up Exile's lathe... anyway.

When they gave the guy the boot, the producer asked Mitchell and Rooke is they could build the bike in a week and the Speed channel would pay for everything. They said sure (Russell agreed on the terms that it would all be flat black).

Well first, Rooke goes to the painter and has him do some panels on the bike. Which Russell called gay. Then as final assebmly is taking place Rooke decides he likes the bike to much and wants to keep it. An argument ensues because the network was supposed to get it. So Rooke takes all bike and goes back to Phoneix saying that was not the agreement even though the guy had him on tape saying it was.

This puts Mitchell in a bad spot because this is "his" show and the network is going to pull the plug on it completely because of what Rooke did.

Show Russell builds one of his bikes and everyone is happy.

I really don't watch much tv. In fact I wouldn't have known who paris hilton was without the www (yes, I do know of Hilton hotels).

anyway...

I have seen a few of the bike build type shows and I found them to be a joke just as any of the other "theme" related shows....let's face it ...with a gazillion channels there will be at least a dozen or so that are absurd.

but

I have seen Rooke's work and I really don't care if he's worthy of any television program. The guy is young and has many ideas he is implementing into his creations.....I dig'em.

Just step back, turn the tele off and check out his machines...
