I can only speak from my experiences but for me, it's more the angle of penetration. Some positions are easier than others to achieve orgasm because of the "angle"...like doggie style and with my partner in a sitting position (me straddling). Sometimes going slow is great; other times I want fast/hard. Depends on the "mood".

As far as preference to length/girth...I can't stay that I have a "preference" but I do have to have some kind of connection with who I'm with. I have to feel something...I've never been able just to "have sex" with someone for the sake of doing it. I'm just not wired for a one night stand.
