First off Hello - New to the site.
I recently purchased an 05 Aero and my Cobra StreetRod Slashdown exhaust should be delivered tomorrow. My question is - Do I need to replace the exhaust gasket when I put the new pipes on? I also ordered Cobra Jet Kit to go along with it. Anyone have any idea what jet to put in? Or if I even need the jet kit? Thanks for any help and I will post some pics of the bike once the exhaust gets put on!

You do want to get new crush gaskets for the exhaust. They are cheap and will make sure it seals properly.
I don't know anything out jetting an Aero so I will have to leave that question to someone else.

When I put my drag pipes on I had it rejetted at the stealership.... I purchased the Dyno jet kit though, as you got more stuff for the same $$.
You know it's funny that you mentioned this. I went to my dealership yesterday to get some of these crush gaskets, and they looked at me like I was crazy. I explained to them that I wanted the exhaust gaskets that go in the head where the pipes connect... Again a blank stare. They turned their computer towards me and said, "I dont see any gasket (pointing to thier diagram)." At that point I asked have you ever heard of an exhaust without a gasket? She said, "No". I said, "Okay, so can I get the parts?" She said," There is no gasket....." I just left... So I assume there is a gasket, but don't go ask the parts department at Mid America Powersports in Wichita Kansas, becasue THEY don't show them in thier little diagram thingy majiggy.....

I know... It's scary to think how many bikes, parts, etc... they sell. They are by far the largest volume dealership around, and they SUCK.
I just called to ask them about the gaskets, and the automated phone system asks what department etc... I select parts. The music starts playing for a minute or two. Then an automated voice comes on and says, "All of our representatives are busy at the moment, please call back at a less busy time." <!--[if gte vml 1]><v:shapetype id="_x0000_t75" coordsize="21600,21600" o:spt="75" o:preferrelative="t" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" filled="f" stroked="f"> <v:stroke joinstyle="miter"/> <v:formulas> <v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"/> <v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"/> <v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"/> <v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"/> <v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"/> <v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"/> <v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"/> <v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"/> <v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"/> <v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"/> <v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"/> <v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"/> </v:formulas> <v:path o:extrusionok="f" gradientshapeok="t" o:connecttype="rect"/> <o:lock v:ext="edit" aspectratio="t"/> </v:shapetype><v:shape id="_x0000_i1025" type="#_x0000_t75" alt="" style='width:12pt; height:12pt'> <v:imagedata src="file:///C:\DOCUME~1\jniblack\LOCALS~1\Temp\msohtml1\01\clip_image001.gif" o:href="http://www.shadowriders.net/forums/images/smilies/pissed.gif"/> </v:shape><![endif]--><!--[if !vml]-->:pissed:<!--[endif]--><!--[if gte vml 1]><v:shape id="_x0000_i1026" type="#_x0000_t75" alt="" style='width:12pt;height:12pt'> <v:imagedata src="file:///C:\DOCUME~1\jniblack\LOCALS~1\Temp\msohtml1\01\clip_image001.gif" o:href="http://www.shadowriders.net/forums/images/smilies/pissed.gif"/> </v:shape><![endif]--><!--[if !vml]-->:pissed:<!--[endif]--><!--[if gte vml 1]><v:shape id="_x0000_i1027" type="#_x0000_t75" alt="" style='width:12pt;height:12pt'> <v:imagedata src="file:///C:\DOCUME~1\jniblack\LOCALS~1\Temp\msohtml1\01\clip_image001.gif" o:href="http://www.shadowriders.net/forums/images/smilies/pissed.gif"/> </v:shape><![endif]--><!--[if !vml]-->:pissed:<!--[endif]--><!--[if gte vml 1]><v:shape id="_x0000_i1028" type="#_x0000_t75" alt="" style='width:12pt;height:12pt'> <v:imagedata src="file:///C:\DOCUME~1\jniblack\LOCALS~1\Temp\msohtml1\01\clip_image001.gif" o:href="http://www.shadowriders.net/forums/images/smilies/pissed.gif"/> </v:shape><![endif]--><!--[if !vml]-->:pissed:<!--[endif]-->
Now how in the HELL am I supposed to know when it is a busy time? I'm sitting in a cube halfway across town. Besides, why even put me on hold at all, if after two minutes your just gonna disconnect me? Why not just answer the phone and say FUCK OFF!!!

Your best bet is to just check out the part yourself. Go to Ronayers (http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/getyear.cfm?man=ho&groupid=12218) and have a look there for your bike. Get the break down for that area, get the part number and walk into the dealer and aske for the part directly.
I've yet to ask the dealer to look up a part for me. Anything I've needed, I've just given the part number from there and I've never once been given the wrong part.

Hey guys, I actually own a ss750 but my question is about the Aero's exhaust. Will it fit on my bike? I like the 2-into-one look. Thanks.
