Some people's screen names are obvious, others make us scratch our heads. How did you guys come up with yours.
For mine, I wanted something Fire Dept. related. SmokeShowin was the first thing that came to mind.

Nokternal - most people just call me Nok. Been using it ever since I started wandering the net. Alwayz been a night person and most of my jobs have been working nights. Spelled wrong intentionally - combination of nocturnal and eternal.
Mr.Sinister
03-26-2005, 03:34 PM
Mr . Sinister is my ring name . Sinister is latin for left handed . I was left hand domanant at birth and still am kinda . I went to a very religous school that thought I would grow up to be gay if I used my left hand .I was not able to use my left hand for many years . Now I use it for every thing but hand writing . I eat left handed , throw left handed , shoot guns left handed .Both of my boys are left handed and so is my dad and grandfather . My sisters 2 boys are also left handed . Even my brother is left handed . I thought it apripo that sinister is my name . I have always fought as a southpaw . My friends call me Sinister in real life .After a short stint as a profesional wrestler under the same name .

Need to do the easy to remember stuff when your

My screen name is the name of Sue's and my houseboat. When I was a teen, my parents decided to get a boat with the idea of keeping me off the streets and out of trouble. The purchase of the boat was financed by all four of us, so Dad wanted to come up with a name that reflected the 4 way ownership. The first name he came up with was DEBRA MARU for Denise-Brian_Mark_Ruth, but Maru is Japanese for boat or ship. Dad fought in WWII and there was NO WAY he was going to have a Japanese word in the name of his boat, so that ws out. One day he came home from work all excited, he had spelled our last name backwards and it read NAVILLUS [SULLIVAN]. Sounding nautical, that became the name of our Chris Craft cabin cruiser. Well, when Sue and I bought our first boat, it had to be NAVILLUSTOO, thus my screen name!

Mine came from a night in a chat room when we first got a computer.....oh so many years ago. It came from having too many beers and a few people in the room at the time. Names started coming and two of them stuck together, one was someone's dog's name and the other.......I'm not sure, it was just said.
So, no reason behind mine except for a little alcohol and being pressed for a name. I've used this name on just about every site I've belonged to. I can just be thankful the dog didn't have some weird name.
Like stain or something, imagine calling your dog.....come stain!~come stain, get off the bed!
My name - Lisa
My age - 36

I rode old panhead harleys from the time I was 20 until the mid 1990's. ...dropped from the scooter scene until last year, emerging on the Spirit. My forum name's a combo of the past and present ( older age and the old scooters). .....and there ya go.
Jimbo
03-28-2005, 09:10 AM
I'm a Shrine Clown and the name I go by while in make up is Jinbo the Hobo. I guess the name has stuck and most people call me by my Clown name more than by Jim.
TD1100
03-28-2005, 12:22 PM
Well the T and D are my first 2 enitials and the 1100 is the cc of my bike. I guess it could stand for tough damn 1100 too lol. Or it could stand for total detention being that is what I do for a living. But that is what it is my real name is Tom.
NoizeBoy
03-28-2005, 05:53 PM
Two fold: 1 - I'm an acoustic engineer by trade - mostly dealing with noise and vibration in auto's of all types. My friends started calling me "Noise Boy" to jab fun at me, and I guess it kind'of stuck.
2 - My Durango has headers, flowmaster, and 3" exhaust. My bike has cobra slash cuts with no baffles. Pretty much everything I ride or drive is fucking obnoxious. My neighbors hate me. A lot.
Brunowren
03-28-2005, 06:43 PM
Well back when I lived in Socal I was a Crewchief on a Nascar Super Late Model racecar, I showed up one night to work on the car and just got a flat top and a earring and looked pretty tough (hey at 6'4 and 280 who is gonna say much to ya? . My wife at the time used to call me BooBoo as a nickname , well when I showed up the Driver says "Whooa you dont look like a BooBoo no more you look like a Bruno! "
Well it has stuck for about 7 years now, So my Handle is just my nick name and my last name.

03-28-2005, 07:15 PM
Mongoose, well it was when I was in the Navy, and had to fly back seat a few times, I was a radar repar man, and when stuff didnt work on my work bench, I had to fly with the pilots to figure out why they couldnt get missles to lock and things like that, they game me this handle bacause I could fix things faster than the radar snakes could make them happen. so it bacame mongoose, and shortend to Goose, this was way before the movie by the way...gee now is that giving out my age? :end:

Now me. My name was given to me by the folks at my local biker bar, god rest its soul. Since I was so young, not to mention ungrizzled, untatoo'ed, and unbroken, at the time at least, they all called me Babyface for awhile. It didn't take long after that for the fact that I rode a ACE to figure into the equation, and it mutated into BabyAce. And so it stands today, although a bit to one side, as BabyAce :king:

I enjoy seeing all of God's creatures... in all their beautiful forms!!! :)
Actually, the ordination was sort of an accident. I was helping ghost write a book on different culture's perceptions of hell myths and myths pertaining of punitive afterlife in general, and I stumbled onto an opportunity to be ordained, so I took it.
It's mostly been a bit of a novelty, and something I usually only advertise online (with screen names and such), since my area is largely christian/conservative and might see it as antagonistic. Especially since I shave my head, I'm into guns, cars, and bikes, have a gang of tattoo's, and I'm Jewish to top it off.

Back in the early 80s, GMC had a pickup they called the "Beau James" model. The place I was working at the time, one of the guys started calling me Beau (James is my real name) and it has stuck ever since.
cryin'wolf
04-07-2005, 09:50 AM
Screen name cryin' wolf came as a variation of the nick name wolf or mad dog that I got stuck with in the Army years ago because of a tatoo I have. Wolf and Mad dog are usually taken when I get screen names, so instead of adding numbers I add modifiers.

Nothin' like a tour in the big bad 3AD.....I was in the Cav in swingin Budingen......they used to tell us we were at the tip of the spearhead.......our response was, where the tip the spearhead goes, eventually the shaft will follow. Have a happy Easter.....it will be a much better day for ridin' in NV than it will be in VA.

I'm an Army Drill Sergeant that barely gets any time off and little sleep. The few times I do, I get ancy and want to ride to unwind. "You're oblivious to the obvious, Soldier!"
