With this post and the other ongoing post for the cables for FFslady's bike, maybe there should be a forum area designated for Dealer comments. Whether they be positive or negative. It would also give people an area to ask about a particular dealer or a search point to find out if it's been discussed before.
Just a thought, getting scammed with an empty box sucks. As does the hassle for the cables. How can Barnett make things for a bike that they have specs for and be so wrong.

Wish i would have done a little research before placing an order with Backyard Performance. Its been almost a mth since placing an order. They wont return my phone calls or reply to e-mail. Cant get a tracking No. Do they even exist? or are they just scamming people out of money?

I've never dealt with them. Maybe Menace should look at removing them off of the 'motorcycle links' page or at least maybe move them into a section for dealers that have complaints about them on the forum.
If they don't like being there, then they can come here and defend themselves or make things right to get removed from the shit list of dealers.

Backyard performance fucked me over too. They got me for around $600. If anyone has any info about them or any ideas about how to get even with I'm in. I have contacted every law inforcement I can and have tracked down as much personal and business info about Jeffrey Beckham Grandview, MO. I know how. His business is out of Kansas City, MO. I ran the tag # on one of the bikes he had in the gallery on his site and it came back registered to him but I could get any where else trying to track him down to contact him at home.

Not sure if the first one on this list from 411.com (http://www.411.com/10668/search/FindPerson?firstname_begins_with=1&firstname=J&name=Beckham&housenumber=&street=&city_zip=Grandview&state_id=MO&metro_area=1) is him or not.
Results: 3 listings matching "Beckham, J, Grandview, MO" 1 non-published listing <script type="text/javascript"><!-- OAS_AD("ResultsLink2b"); --></script><noscript></noscript>1 older listing (view (http://www.411.com/track/10147/10668/search/FindPerson?search_id=20151310712048965697&show_old_listings=1))

There's 1 unlisted number that you won't have access to. Be nice to hunt these fuckers down and "tune" them up into the real world.

The older listing if you click on it is for a Jeff Beckham...............maybe.

Yeah, at the very least. Or put up a dealer "shit list" for buyer beware.

Contact the Postmaster! Since you got it in the mail. Stacks the deck in your favor!!
They don't take kindly to "Mail Fraud" and will investigate. The company will get a letter or better yet a call from a government official (which will get quite pissed if ignored) they love chasing this stuff...

It will usually prompt some fast results...
give them a visit or call...hope this helps.

I think he's saying he can't go to the post office to lodge a complaint because the stuff wasn't sent via US mail but via courier.

They orignally delivered a few sets of forward controls then fucked me out of a set of Mortons exhaust ($600) and now won't respond to emails unless I create a new email acct. and ask basic quqestions. When I get to asking about the money they owed I never here from them again.

I am going to try and contact them myself and see what happens. You would think they would want us saying good things about them if they ever plan on selling anything again.

I just got an email from backyardperformance.com

Here it is:

This string basically consists of two people that we tried to help, and didn't bother to follow up. The gentleman with the Power Commander problem was a victim of theft, but not by us. The packager left here with the PCIII in it, and was stolen somewhere along the way. He was informed of this, and was told to file a complaint with UPS and forward a copy of the paperwork to us, so we could back him up. We would then replace the PCIII, when that was resolved. This never happened, and he got his money back, while we ended up eating the cost of the PCIII. BTW - this problem occurred over a year and a half ago.

As for the Morton's problem, we stopped dealing with Morton's because of delivery problems just like this. We had our exhausts drop-shipped from Morton's to get them to the customer faster, because there was normally a long delay in the production of the pipes. Unfortunately we often have our hands tied by slow manufacturers. We were told all our pipes shipped, and Morton's sent us delivery confirmation on all our pipes. We paid for the pipes, so that's basically it on our end. This problem was also well over a year ago, because we haven't carried the Morton's pipes for the last year.

By our math, that's two complaints in the last two years. We've had 2592 orders in that time, so that's a pretty tiny percentage. If you'd like to pull our link, then that's your choice. We have thousands of customers, that are very happy with our products and service. It's always the squeaky wheel that gets the attention, and you've got two loud ones here. We get plenty of repeat business, and are sorry that these two won't be among them.

You can feel free to post this response on your forum, if you like. Let us know if there's anything else we can do for you.

I have sent Mortons a link to this thread. Backyard has changed the story again. They first told me (when I emailed from a new acct.) they stopped using Mortons due to quality control. Now the story is shipping and delivery problems? Bullshit. I talked to Doug Morton himself by phone and he told me they had gotten several complaints about Backyard not getting pipes out to people. Maybe he will come on and tell his side of the story. I have ordered other parts from Mortons direct and have had great luck with them. I tryed my best to follow up on this problem with Backyard but they would not answer any emails that were addressing this issue or even answer the phone.

Rusty, I'm with you on that one. Two complaints and they both ended up on this forum? Whats the chances of that? Besides I bought the pipes from Backyard and sent HIM the money. He should followed up on it. Maybe sent me tracking #s or some kind of comunication.

I actually did get set of ISO grips from them but it took 2 weeks to get here. Also ordered forward controls, never showed up, actually did get email response from them, but it took awhile for them to answer. After a month of waiting for the forwards, I went to Billski instead, they showed up in 2 days.
