mapam fwd contls.trouble with shifter side

:pissed: finally got it together on the shifter side,,but i have first,neutrel,second gear but wont go to the next gear fells like is not wanting to come up

There is an adjuster on the shift linkage side, you may have to adjust it so it's actually pushing far enough to engage the next gear.

got to go to today in an hour and im going to get it finished tonight hopefully..might just start over on this shifter side used your link for install great directions just got to work out the way its shiftting or not thanks

got everything on last night went for ride couldn't get higher than second gear feels like it hits something and wont go up any further but it goes up from1st,N,2nd

maybe I just did to many mods in one day.put the taillight,sissybar for daughter,and most of the fwrds then ran out of daylight and kids ready to eat.like you said needs a little bit of adjustment again THANKS tony

got It..stood Back To Look At It All..everything Worked First Time All Gears Did Need Alittle Adjustment...thanks Rustyjake And Johnny Ace For The Info You Both Provided..sad Have To Go Work Instead Of Ridin....first Set Of Mods Complete

Awesome, I'm sure you'll enjoy the forwards as much as I have! I've been lucky this past week, off work and great weather=riding every day. I've put in about 600 miles this past week, and I've gotta give the slitherin seat, the forwards, and the riser extensions an A+. It's like a completely different bike.

hey guys, I told you I'd come back. Lookin at the Mapam forward ctrls as well. Is there a much different feel to them over stock, or are they simply a cosmetic mod? I'd like a little more room under the gear shift if possible. Anyone got a more detailed description of them and there functional use if any?

Ok, so before I get bashed on this, go fuck YOURself.. I found another post related to the install of fwd ctrls and read the whole thing. I now see the light and what they do. Though I'd still like someones take on them. Do I need them? Are they for the tall only? At 5'7" will they hinder me as a beginer rider? And lastly, can the stocker be adjusted at all..? Thanx

I could have used an inch or two more fwrd and/or up a bit but the ride is nicer..risers ext.and lowering kit is next for me but happy with out come
