Hey all......
Can the hole saw method for resonator removal be inflicted on a 2000 Shadow Spirit 1100c ? Interested in singing a lower exhaust note! Thanks for any replies!:cyclist:
Edit: IDENTICAL THREADS merged for audience amusement.

Yes, all day long. So can the 4* timing mod. You already have the 42 slows so you should be all set except for tweaking the A/F to match the freer flow of the exhaust.

You got more problems than an empty gallery nooblet...your biggest malfunction at this point is that you failed to recognize that the Shadow Guru gave you an answer on this already this morning!
Correct yourself noobuloid or you will surely find yourself swimming in the pool of road kill nooblets!
You may continue to fornicate yourself and as noobBob already alluded to...no pics = no bike!

And, for you dudes who think I have no pics posted of my ride, think again!! You must not know how to navigate to the galleries friends......even got my girl in there too, and she's no bitch seat slave - she has her own Honda ride...what about your women?:drink:

Shadow Guru had the goods for this Noob! Just finished the hole saw mod on my 1100 Shadow Spirit and it went effortlessly! I recommend a drill that has a handle for better alignment of the bit and its easier on the hands and wrist. Everything Shadow riders mentioned rang true for me - go slow, let the bit do the work, keep the teeth oiled every so often, and work the resonator around in a circular motion using a long screw driver to loosen it up before pulling it out - like a good, patient, slow fuck!!
Best part for me was not the new, louder pipes bu the better performance off the throttle at low end - my bike was starving for airflow, no she's got 'er!! Highly recommend to other noobs who might buy a stock bike from early 2000s models.
Now I can fuck off and ride a bit louder!! No V&H of course, but it's a start!
