cruizer performance stopped making/selling the bootleg intake because of chroming issues.:furious2: bummer!!! say the copper keeps coming through the chrome so they're not selling them for some time until they figure it out...just in time for spring..greeeaaat. tornado? just thought i would post incase anybody read the other posts about the bootleg and was thinking about getting one.~Smitty

THE TORNADO WAS MY FIRST CHOICE.BECAUSE THE BASE PLATE IS NOT AS
BIG .ITS ROUND AS OPPOSED TO THE BOOTLEG BEING LIKE A SQUARED OFF TRIANGLE. BUT,BUT!!!I WAS GOING TO GO WITH THE BOOTLEG $150.00. THE TORNADO IS $179.00 PLUS!! YOU HAVE TO GET THE ADAPTER
KIT AS WELL $80.00. SO $150.00 BUCKS SOUNDED ALOT BETTER THEN
THE TORNADOS $259.00 BUCK.I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO GO WITH THE
TORNADO NOW THOUGH.

I'd give them a suggestion to improve it..........get a better fucking welder and smooth it out like they do on their their handlebars. The weld at the neck looks like crap. It's the first thing everyone points out on it when they have a close look. It's really not a good finish from them. Their bars are excellent, and have no visible welds. I'm sure with a little extra brass they could smooth out the bootleg weld and get rid of any issues with it.
I'm sure if you wanted one that wasn't chromed, they'd sell it to you. Be a perfect way to get one painted to match your bike.

razor i got mine today for 220$ from hellrizer customs, its not too bad. youre right though, bummer that they charge for the mounting bracket.

scootworks still got the bootleg in stock its 220 but comes with the jets you need now when you say bootleg you mean the hurricane right

Bootleg and hurricane are two different beasts. They are similar in the way they both stick out from the side of the bike. But look totally different.

yeah but dont get it right from thunder's websight. youll pay more. i got it from hellriser customs (they get it discounted from thunder) then sell it to you for only 220 shipped. WITH the mounting bracket right not there is like a 3 week wait though. all good for me, just enough time to get rid of the new york salt and snow

I called up thundermfg and they told me I could get it in about 5-7 days.
And also they are located about 4 1/2 - 5 hours away from me in Phoenix AZ.
i will prolly get it from them when money is available.The lady I talked to
was very kind and professional over the phone.
