I know it's hard to keep track of all the conversations around here. I found this setting very usefull for me. In your control panel user options look for this:
"When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list o subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread."
I choose to get an instant email whenever anyone replies to one of my threads. That way if you ask a question you know when its answered and you will be emailed a link right to it.
