Drum to Disc Conversion - '93 Shadow

The inside of my rear wheel is shot. The drum part of the brake is to the point of no longer giving me much braking power, even with new pads.
Have any of you ever attempted to convert to a disk brake on the rear instead of the drum brake?

PLAN B - anyone know where I can score a half-way descent rear wheel?
