I am wanting to do the VTX mob but in the mean time...What is the biggest widest I guess tire that I can put on my factory 06 750 spirit rim. And will it make any difference in looks without changing the rim. I guess what I'm askin is will it be just a waste of money to try an put a bigger tire on the bike now. I'm just starting to really change everything on my bike, so it will be some time before I get to the VTX mod..

Well First Things First Crazy FUCK OFF NOOB :jamming: and welcome to the NutHouse:freak: where Moding is a way of Life Now if I'm not mistaken you can put the 200 Metz on the Stock Rim now (factory approved or something) I believe it's the 200/70/15 and of course it depends on how low you Slam your Ride as to what other things may have to be Done Have fun and enjoy Oh ya better learn about the SEARCH FEATURE just a word to the wise:jamming:

Frank is right about the the Metz 200. It's even listed on the tire chart if their site. There is also a thread here somewhere that includes some pix of the difference between the stock tire and a Metz 200. It reaaly does make a BIG difference. Try usin the SEARCH button (or else AirportFF will bitch slap ya )
Oh yeah and FUCK OFF YA NARROWASSHAVINNOOB!!! :crazy3:

Here is the LINK (http://www.shadowriders.net/forums/showthread.php?t=49)you are looking for. Keep in mind that when you put the 200 tire on a stock rim, you will not get the same width as you would if you used a wider rim size. You have the tire being 'pulled' to the bead and in doing so you loose some of the width. In that link, there's a comparison shown further in the responses that show the difference the rim size makes.

Ok I think I'm goin to hold off on the rearwheel until I get everything else that I have planed done. I may put on a new sprocket with a few more teeth and a crome rear wheel cover though to tide me over til the fall..lol Any ideas on what size sprocket I should go with just for a few more crusin RPMs and If I'll have to add any links to my chain?

Go smaller, not bigger on the rear. Most folks go with anything from 37-39. It'll keep your RPM's down on the highway. I put a 39 on Susan's. You'll lose a little off the start, but you don't really notice it.
With hers I took out 2 links I think. There is a thread around here having to do with how many links for each size sprocket.
Do a search:grin: You'll find it somewhere

Oh yea, the sprocket guy is Ken Corcoran from the TSW. You can try Sprocket Specialties, but they never seem to have anything in stock.
