Scrounging around I found a 24" x 3/8" drill bit. My earlier adventures found 36" x 7/8" bores as well but they were too expensive (roughly $100).
I kept looking at this smaller bit and though "what the heck can I loose?" Soooooo....
This after noon I sunk 4 bores. One in each of the internal pipes though all the baffles I could reach. Then two more 90 degrees from the postion of the other two.
RESULT!!! Awsome sounding stock (well kinda stock) exaust. Not outragiously loud but a nice fat meaty sound. To say the least, I'm very happy with the result. I'll likely eventually spring for a different set of pipes but for anyone that doesn't want to fork out the cash for new pipes and re jetting, this little trick really makes the ACE sound sweet with very little effort.
Anyone wanting the manufacture of the drill bit give me a scream.
