HD Wheel Swap

so neal pm'd me yesterday & told me that his friend had 2 wide glide wheels. so i gave him a call & he txt me the pics. one was a dual flange the other a single. so i got a single flange HD Wide Glide wheel for $50.00 & its in good shape.

i'll probably do the swap in july once i get back from OK for some training that i have to go up there for. once i finish i will do a write up on it and post it up as a stick. the swap should be fairly simple just like swapping it out on the SS.

What type of front end do those have? Is it the same width as an SS? Ive seen some VTX's but never paid attention to the front end.

i think its like 2in wider. i measured it once between the legs but i need a more acurate measurement from right there at the wheel holes.

So it must basically be a wide glide. Itll be a little easier to do a 21 swap then.

well a 21in swap is not hard anyways. i did my swap in 15 minutes. ole puddin head had my axle turned & got my spacers for me while i was deployed. when i came home on leave, i jacked up the front, pulled the old wheel off & slid the HD on. i didnt have to shim the brake caliper or anything. it was a perfect fit.

I wasnt saying it was hard but a little more width cant hurt. So how do the ladies like the new ride?
