What's up I knew to the site. Just bought an 2003 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 and i love it.. Want to do some work to it. One thing I would like to do is put some white walls on the bike.. I saw also that you can do it yourself on your tires. Just curious if anyone has ever painted the white walls and did it work and last. Or is it better just to spend the money and buy a pair? Thanks for your help.

Does anyone here think that they Cat may have developed a split personality? With the intelligence that we have seen he has I think he would make a great super villain!
Mr Tiemann...you should consider yourself extremely lucky to have been granted such a stay of execution by the Cat. If you do not take his advice you are more of a stupid dumb ass noob tard than we could ever give you credit for.
May the search be with you!

As one of the resident Noob Tards, I will say I have done a pile of SEARCHING on here to find my way to a nice new set of white walls for my 03 SS750.
Paint- There are products and companies out there that can do the job, but the thickness you will get out of an actual white wall tire most likely won't hold up. The cost of a real white wall will trump the maintenance and re-application of paint.
Port-o-walls- Don't do it. There are a couple of companies that offer these for bikes, but with the give in a tire on increasing speeds, I discovered it probably wouldn't be very cool or fun to have one loosen up from the bead of the rim/tire and that slap around on the inside of your fork, causing you to crash your bike. Imagine coming to and seeing some hot chicks looking down at you, all the while noticing you shit your pants in the crash. This definitely makes doing it the right way a lot more realistic, ideal and feasable.
White walls - Dunlop makes a D404 in a 19" strictly for Harley. They also have the K555 series for front and back. Avon has the Venom AM series. AM 41 for the front, and AM 42 for the rear. Metzler makes the ME88 series for the front and rear. With my location in Canada I was not able to get a matching brand set. I went with the Metzler ME88 170/80/15 for the rear and the Avon AM41 100/90/19 for the front.
It's not my duty with less than 50 posts to be giving you Noob razzing or telling you to fuck off. Here is my personal info I gathered. You may find different. Good luck and make her pretty!
just buy the whites, I have them, and if you paint the white and try to clean them its a pita. Just but a factory set that way you can scrub them clean without issues....
also its best if you fuck off, & welcome

Holy shit! How did he get almost 24 hrs without anyone saying anything about getting blinded by his avatar. WTF? You can't be doing shit like that here. Remove those GAR's ASAP otherwise you will receive 20 lashings and be forced to become a member at honda shadow dot net andturn in your green card for this site.

As far as paint; don't bother. I used the Ranger white-wall on my build off bake last year and the stuff yellowed and cracked before I even got the bike on the road. I ended up having to take it all off which wasn't fun.
Endless And JayT thanks for the advice.. I think Im gonna just get a pair..
And once you go get a pair, then buy some tires too! lol.
Ya man, the paint thing might seem doable, but it will be a PITA!
