As you can see I am working on style choices, but what about the different forum headings? Some have asked for an "Ask Susan" area where you can ask a woman just about any question without getting slapped. Of course a porn area, Duh! Does everyone like how the Shadow forums are divided up and mods for different bikes are in different places? Are there too many forums? not enough?
Any other ideas?

On the old forum there was an area for Classic Shadow's, I know there are only a few of us, but I'd like to see that make a comeback. I want to post pics of my progress with my VT700 (especially with a new idea I've got planned) but feel a little out of place.
I do like the "Ask Susan" thing, and porn is a must! :jamming:
Maybe a joke section, for things like "Toby" and "Escape from Neverland"
I think the way things are divided up is workin' fine, we just need to get into the swing of things for this new forum.http://www.websmileys.com/sm/fingers/fing02.gif

Good point. I forgot the Classic Shadow forum. You want to moderate that area?

Calling Susan? You still interested?
What about a "tech resource or tech question" forum. I guess I was used to the old layout and getting used to the new one. What about the links we had on the old page as well? can we get those back?
fegs...

The susan thing is good and I'd be honored to do it but I wonder if certain people would be embarrassed just coming out with a question or to discuss their feelings. It seems that hijacking a thread to go to that stuff is not a problem but if anyone has to go to a "certain" thread he may feel threatened. Hey I could be wrong, but Susan's corner is up and I guess you guys know everything and dont need to talk about anything personal. :wink_2:
Definately jokes and porn.
Mods I dunno, I think we're missing something here. I like the way its set up but somethins missin. Sorry I'm starting to sound like Tangled!

ok. I'll hook you up. How about if the question is too embarrassing they can send you a PM. Otherwise, everyone can see it and have an opinion. We can let the ladies moderate that area for when us guys get out of hand.

Menace, is there a way that we can bookmark certain threads for future reference? or is it here and I don't see it?

Not sure about bookmark, but I changed my default setting so when I reply in a thread I will get an email as soon as sombody else posts something in that thread. In other words by replying to a thread it automatically subscribes me to that thread so I know about future posts ASAP.

Menace,
Can other user have that setting as well, I mean notified by email when somebody reply to a certain post?
Check this link: (http://gallery.roeiboot.com) . It's a VLX gallery and there's something like a short summary for a certain mod. Each one contains detail picture & step by step guide. What we have so far is a discussion forum (great one of course!), but is it possible to hv a page where anybody can create their own album about their mod, put all the info, pictures & result, and accessible to all member?
Just a thought...

Check your options and see if it will let you turn on notification. It should work.
I will check into the gallery idea. I am sure there are a ton of addons for this software.

How about a note it the thread discription of the tech type threads that would Identify them as a
"NO HI JACK" thread.
This way we can all try to keep the "real" bike information pure.
I know that we ALL love to rabbit trail, but at the same time, if you are asking a serious question, or are looking for useful information, it can really get in the way.

If you want to tighten a security system in a bank and needed ideas, would you call a pencil pusher or an ex-bank robber? :wiseguy:

You might want to loose choppershoppe off of the links page. He screwed a few ppl on TSW and his site is gone anyways.
www.choppershoppe.com - raked trees, custom parts
If you are in there, you could probably add menacecustomcycles.com . Dennis is over at TSW and does some great work. Had my sidemount made by him. But he's a good option for those north of the border.

Well, as I can offer many suggestions I first have to acknowledge the work you guys have done up to this point.
THANK YOU
That said I only frequent a few forums and the better ones are laid out with an OFF TOPIC board and BIKE RELATED. May also add ROAD TRIP, FOR SALE and GARAGE (for tech advice).
Having several mod links (to me) clusterfucks the site.
The site below is CF'ed:

Site below (I believe) is not:

Hi Menace, you're doing a great job. Don't know if you want to add this to links page - www.bikers-links.com
It has links for anything and everything to do with motorcycles. Saw a sticker for it, of all places, in a bathroom stall at a Patriots game. Just figured I'd pass it along.
Take it easy and keep up the great work. :jamming:
