I just put the 2.5" Scootworks kit on the rear and I lowerd the front 1.25" with the PS Progressive Springs and shorter spacers. The bike sits OK with the kickstand unmodified, I just want to know if there is any way to make the bike lean more when parked without trashing the factoring kickstand.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I notched the stop plate about a 1/4" which allowed the stand to go forward more, and that helped some. BUT - I never had a comfort level during really strong winds, so I eventually picked up the shorty one off ebay...................

Yeah, today was a windy day and I was in school, it was a little unnerving.

Is there any way to mod the stock one without trashing the chrome, or do I pretty much have to buy a new one.

Im working on a kickstand mod that will make it shorter without welding.I will try to finish it this week and let you know how it goes and give ya details when it is done.

Keep us up to date on that. I've had mine up on blocks for modding this winter and haven't checked it since I cut my shocks. I should check that out I guess. I may need a shorter stand. Cut 2 1/2 coils, so I might me okay.

I lowered mine 3 1/2 inches at the rear and then I took my kick stand off and bent it with a cold press. It didn't fuck up the chrome at all and it sits nice. I made sure I wrapped the kick stand with a towel before I applied pressure.

you can also heat the kickstand right behind the spring on it with a torch just be carefull and then it makes it easy to bend doesnt hurt the chrome if you do it right
