After searching this site I realized that customizing the Aero would be a lot more difficult than customizing a spirit. I'd post pictures of current progress but I'm on vacation and wasn't able to ask questions before I left because of the 5 day lockout period.
I purchased the bike with the Vance and Hines Cruzers (Id like to remove the baffles), apart from that it was stock.
After compiling a list of cosmetic things I wanted to do after a lot of search on this forum, I ran into a few questions I could not find an answer to.
the Ace 750 and Aero 750 share a lot of similiaries including frame. But could not find an answer on this site or from west-eagle if their solo bobber seat mounting hardware for the 750 ace would fit on the Aero. Does anyone have any experience with this? (link to their catalog below)
I remember someone saying that the Scootmods lowering strut worked on their Aero but I cannot be sure if it's the same product they are offering now, because scoot mods does not list the Aero as compatible. Can anyone confirm? (http://www.shadowriders.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6740&highlight=Scootmods+aero+lowering)Current Progress

These pictures represent some of the progress made so far. As you can see I added a side plate mount, removed the fenders, and you can see my exhaust.
Next I want to:
Install the stock rear turn signals somewhere
Change tires (debating on whitewalls. used a photoeditor to see what it would look like)
Chop the frame behind the strut mounts.
Install a rigid rear
Solo spring seat
Small round or flat rear fender.http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/5303/backrs.th.jpg (http://img233.imageshack.us/i/backrs.jpg/)http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/6418/nonww.th.jpg (http://img831.imageshack.us/i/nonww.jpg/)

Not the only one. I've been slowly reworking mods that are done by our Spirit riding counterparts, to work on the Aero.

Here's the pic you wanted its a Road6 customs side mount that I took a cutting wheel and a welder to. Then added an led catseye with built in turnsignals. All of the parts where ebay specials.

Struts work, you'll have to take some bushings out of the shocks though, you can do it easy with a socket and some vice grips, you'll figure it out.

Thanks for the quick reply Joe. I'll be placing an order within a month or so after I fabricate the seat.
On another note, my rear whitewall tire arrived today.

One more Aero here.
Cool project--how's it coming so far? I'm working on something similar, this is what I've got:
- Fiberglass rear fender w/hidden taillights and turn signals
- Custom seat (soon to be changed)
- Cobra pipes
- Handlebars/risers from a Spirit
- Side mount license plate

Im an aero too, 06, and since you 2 seem to be the only others. How much horsepower did you lose when you went to those duel pipes? If you did lose any at all. I can't seem to find any FOR the aero.

thats because your riding on air. you dont get much horsepower sitting on your hands playing with your balls ... when your done go buy you a bike then take a pretty picture of said bike... then maybe you can join their aero club!

Damn you got me. Im fuckin superman. Pic wont load, I can't make it small enough on my phone, or just don't know how. I have a stock 750 aero that I stripped down to basics. Still need to cut the rear fender braces. Before I get dual pipes I wanted to know if and how much horsepower I will lose. I can take a hazing dude, but don't expect me to just sit and take it.

Hey guys, I have a '99 1100 Aero. Just picked it up at he end of this past Feb. The more I ride, the more I want to ride. I'm not doing any mods at the moment - just getting some accessaries. I like reading what you guys are doing though, it's super interesting.

Been overseas and haven't had a chance to do much since these postings. I purchased the bike with the pipes and have never had it dyno'd, so I cannot answer this question.
As far as progress goes, I have whitewalls on the motorcycle and am planning on ordering a dual spring seat shortly if I can find the link I posted somewhere on these forums.
I also have the baffles removed from the exhaust. Sexy.

I just ran out for some quick progress pix. I finally got the front tire installed, still debating on whether to go for a weld on spring seat or a bolt on kit (200$ difference). I just purchased the risers, and am debating between drag bars or broomstick bars.
Now I have it in my head to paint some of the plastic chrome pieces a matte black. Gonna have to photoshop that idea tomorrow when I can get some clear pictures.
Enjoy.
