HE did my stretch but it took six months to get it back.He was going to do a lot of them for people on this site and had about 7 people that said they were in and someone that lived by his shop was going to let him use his bike for the mock up.I sent him my tank and seat and then everyone else backed out.He did mine from a tracing of my fraim rails and some pics.It turnd out great but he said he won't do any more for this site.

I've dealt with Dennis, he does some excellent work and customer service that goes above and beyond. I know he's north of the border for some of you U.S. people, but I think anyone would be pleased with what you get from him.

I don't think it would have took as long if he had the bike to set it up on.He still gave me the group rate and it only cost me $300 to fix a bunch of big dents, roll the seam and stretch the tank. Can't even get a stretch for that much anywhere else.

I think Cowboy got a HELL of a deal for just keeping his word to the man.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Yeah, it took longer than it should have. I also did it from a sketch and some measurements on a piece of paper, without a frame to test-fit it on. I do Harleys all the time in much less time, but I have no shortage of frames to make sure the tanks fit without taking hundreds of measurements and hoping they were correct. The guy who was supposed to let me use his bike for mockups was going to get his tank stretched for free, but he disappeared for some reason. I bowed out of any future work from this forum because I didn't want to go through this again or have the customer go through it either. I'm glad Cowboy's tank came out well, but this is the first I heard anything about that. It's been over 2 years since and a private message I just got this morning from a new member just saying hello is the only contact I've had from anyone on this forum in that time period. It would have been nice to at least get an e-mail letting me know things turned out OK. I hold no bad feelings for anyone over this, I've just moved on.
I hope no one gets offended by this reply or the fact that it is so late in coming, but as I said, I didn't have any notice of anything regarding this forum until this morning.
