Hey all, been lurking the forum for a few weeks, had my eye on a Spirit for a while and finally picked one up last week. Finished my MSF course and got licensed this Saturday.

Found a 2009 with 0 miles and straight pipes at a dealer. Got over 200 miles on the wheels already. The exhaust sounds great and I love this bike!

I'm 6'3" so probably going to pick up some of the ScootMods extensions. Its comfortable but riding an hour I've already felt how I could use a little more room on there.

All these replies and not a single comment on the first mod that should be done to every shadow, the second you get it home! It costs no money. It only takes a few seconds to do. Come on now....who knows?

Definately hit up Joe for some forward extensions. I am 6'2" and got the 6 inch kit. Highly recomend it, best mod I have done so far by far. Not for looks, but changed the comfort of the bike.

Nice starting point for sure. Lots you can do to that thing, or so I have heard. Mine is all stock..... at least that is what I tell the wife!

Welcome, congrats on the new bike! My first bike is my 07 750c2 I have, I love it. Like TI has, get the 6" forward extenders. I am 6'0" and have the 4" and wouldn't mind the 6" ones.

Ride safe!

Ride safe!+1 Same here. Got the 4", love them, but now that I've been riding with them for well over a year, I would love to put 6" ones on.

Hey scub, are you in the burgh? Make sure you add yourself to the map.

Whoa whoa whoa, I'm still here! I got lots of shit to do to this bike, I'm not going anywhere. I'm not gonna cry over some fuckyoustupidnoodnowgetouttaheremessagesfromfuckinoldheadposters on this forum.

Yeah CheeseMan I'm in the 'burgh. Black and Gold all the way! Go Steelers! I didn't see the map (don't worry a-holes, I'll SEARCH for it. Noob here, not to forums.) I'm living around Penn Hills right now, you anywhere near there?

I'd like to open up the intake a bit, not sure if I'd go with one of these hypercharger deals or just a more open filter. Watched a great youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52h7cc2Bwhk) series of a guy installing one on the same year I got. A bit of work but nothin I'm really scared to do. I've installed intakes on cars but never any work on a bike. The exhaust is great but that intake is way too restrictive to really take advantage of it.

Definitely getting the control extensions though.

I live just west of Cranberry and my office (Which I only go to 1-2x/mo) is in the old westinghouse complex.

Maybe this noob will be up for a ride some time?

How about Sunday morning? Let's get RockSolid too. I think the Monroeville area would probably be the most central location, but I don't know any riding areas out that way.

I'm all for getting something together but I can't make it Sunday. I'll be out past Morpheus in Johnstown Saturday night visiting the ol' UPJ. Probably using 4 wheels to get out there.

48 down from monroeville is a pretty nice start. Bought my bike down in Belle Vernon at Tom Clark Motorsport. Obviously I don't have a ton of suggestions for good bike routes but it ain't bad.

Definitely getting the control extensions though.Hypercharger is well worth the money. Easy install since there's only one carb to rejet. Look around, you can pick up a kury one at a decent price, as long as you can hold out for the right price.
