im so pissed off...i pull into the driveway after a ride. i cant get my bike through to the garage cuz of my youngest brother's 88 Lincoln Town Car. so i park behind him. some time goes by, and he goes outside. im inside doin laundry...after about 10 min he comes in and says you wanna help me pick your bike up? i said wtf is it doin on the ground? he says i didnt see it behind me so i cant kinda knocked it over with my car. i go outside and the massive backend of that car is overtop of my shadow. so i pull it up, the front fender is smashed into the tire, handlebars are all chipped up, kickstand is bent in half, and my forward controls that i made my self are ruined. it took me four fuckin days to make those and to get them to work right. i dont have anymore parts to make another set. i sure as hell hope i can bend it back. the tank has some scratches...i dont have any more paint from the project..
heres the best part...
he says its my fault for parking my bike behind his car, and is giving me shit about paying for the repairs. im not turning into insurance cuz the bike is so old they'll prolly just total it. blah! so fuckin pissed.

Damn dude. Sorry to hear that. That's a nice looking ride. I don't know how he didn't see it when he walked to his car, but he should definitely help pay for the repairs.

had it happen to me......about 20 years ago my sisters boy friend parked his bike behind my pickup truck in my moms driveway, when I was leaving I hop into my truck and bigger than shit total out this bike, I felt real fucking bad, but I also did what your brother did, "it's not my fault you parked your bike behind my truck", it went back and forth for about half a year, in the end I told him to have it fixed and send me the bill, he did, me being the ass I am just said "they over charged you on this I'm not going to pay, just because you took it to the most expensive repair shop in town". Man I feel bad for you, but I also have to defend your brother.........never ever park a bike in a drive way behind a car or truck, it just can't be seen.

Yeah, I can agree that a person should be careful where they park, especially a motorcycle. BUT, it is still the brothers fault and if it was my brother and he said he was not paying for it and it was my fault I would definitely convince him otherwise real quick one way or the other.

kick his ass Sea Bass...
Ask him this, .... If he backs into a parked bike at the local minimart he can drive off and tell the owner sorry???
If hes drivin a car he must have insurance, USE HIS INSURANCE!
Not Yours!!!!
Ok, hes your brother, hes family, but if one of my family members came to my house and backed into my bike, car or whatever guess what!
They will repair, no questions asked!
Would I beat his ass? no, why not, cause he will fix the bike, !!! no need to beat anyones ass!
If that dont work, head over to his HOUSE, and back into it! take out a corner or wall and let him know your sorry, and that u didnt see it!
But, At least now theres a hole in the house so you can roll ur bike into his living room, and he can get the repairs goin!
HEY Danteisme's BROTHER! Fix his bike that YOU wrecked!
Ya fuckin douche!

well, he's still throwing a big stink about this. i said let me understand this. if my truck was parked behind your car and you backed into it cuz you didnt see it it would be my fault? he said, well no that would be my fault. i said its the same freakin thing! a vehicle is a vehicle. so he starts gettin real defensive etc... and i decided to be the bigger man. i said you know what, forget it. you absolutely refuse to accept any wrong doing so just forget it. i'll fix it myself, but he better not think about asking me for any favors for a long time.
all this over $160 in damage!!!
Wait! Wait a second!
Is that a leak in his gas tank I see????
Must have punctured it when hitting you bike! Oh, My!

I understand both sides of the story. I thought one of the most important rules of riding was always do your best to be seen. That goes for on or off the bike. Bikes are small they fit anywhere. Park it somewhere else. Or at least give a brother heads up that you parked behind him. A good brother would help pay for the repairs no matter what.

I'd have to side with the brother. Hell, if you wouldn't have used the same paint they use on the stealth bombers, he might have seen it parked behind his boat!

First, I woulda found the lil pecker and told him I parked my bike behind your pos car.
Second, when I found out he hit it, Id call the shithead everything but a white boy.
Third, if he didnt pay for it, Id beat the living shit outa him and fuck up his pos car.
And last but not least, if he was bigger, meaner, or tuffer than me, Id just wait for him to go to sleep, then fuck him up. But if I was stupid enough to park behind someone and not let them know, well tuff shit for you.
It is your brother's fault. Using his logic, he failed to tell you that he was going to get into his car without looking at anything and expect the road to be clear for his highness's ass. I might buy into the "I couldn't see it" argument if the person posing it actually looked...... When it comes to "I couldn't see it" what they really mean is "I couldn't be bothered to look".

When you get into the drivers seat you take absolute responsibility for the safe operation of the vehicle. Period. Could have been a kid on a bicycle for cryin' out loud. Your brother was wrong. He should suck it up and make it right, intentional or not.

A good brother would help pay for the repairs no matter what.My thoughts exactly. God for bid it was someones kid, what's he gonna say then, your child shouldn't of been outside behind my car, even though I failed to look to see if anyone or anything was behind me.

Gotta agree with most,it was both parties at fault. One,always park where your bike can be seen and is out of the way.2ND,Unless there was a bunch of vehicles in the drive way,Your brother have a clue to how you got there? I would never park mine behind another vehicle, especially my wife and that`s even if i told her i did.People who don`t ride don`t think to look for motorcycles, parked or moving.

Dante, Did he have to walk past the bike to get into the car?
Regardless, he hit it, he pays.
When I was a kid, a car backed over my brother's wagon. Luckily he wasn't in it. I don't think the Police would have excused him if he killed my brother, even if he was below the mirrors.

no he didnt, but if he had his head up at all he wouldve seen it. i parked about 3 feet behind his car on the drivers side, actually even a bit out from the direct path of the car.
next time, i will just tell him to stop parking like an ass in the middle of the driveway and leave me space to get to the garage

All my family's cars have to park tight against the right side to give me a straight shot at the garage with my bikes! (My bikes are never left out in the driveway.) My family is really good about doing this.
