Just back from an somewhat shortened version of the planned New Years day ride.... Weather man is playing games...was supposed to be sunny today but now we have T-booomers rolling into the area... partly cloudy my ass...
Any who... got to run some curvies... air the Shadow out a bit.... pelted by rain drops (thought it was a bit early for bugs when I heard the 'tick tick tick' on the helmet)... decieded if I didn't want to be dodging lightening bolts I'd better head back to the farm.
Was only an hour or so, but was a nice New Years day ride.
Have a great year everyone!

:beatnik2: I got up after sleeping late today due to last night's festivities, and decided to get some seat time in just for kicks. I also ran into some light sprinkles, but it quickly ended. Made a little run into town for some cleaning stuff for the new SS. What is the best chrome cleaner for the spoke wheels? Most of the stuff I saw for chrome wheels said "Not for Motorcycle Wheels". :freak:

All you guys with the nice weather, above freezing, can kiss my ass! New years day it was hovering around 35 degrees and raining, windy as hell here in Chicago!!!!!!! I'll get my new years run in around the end of February or the end of March if I'm lucky!!! No matter, the bike is in pieces right now. Just got the picture from Burb of the mocked up pipes!!! I posted it in the photo gallery. I should have them in a few more weeks. Still waiting for top tree, stitching on my seat, side mount, and powder coated cut shocks! Bike can't be ridden now anyways!

Sorry to hear about the weather up there. Why new pipes? What was wrong with the old ones?
Wild Coyote
01-03-2006, 08:12 AM
Nothing wrong with the old ones, just wanted a different look. I wanted the pipes bend down more. The groundhoggs I had ended up high. The new ones bend down more, are stepped, shorter, fatter, and will have a beefier sound. Plus I'm going with black satin ceramic instead of chrome.

The black satin will look sweet. Good luck with all your mods.
