How much did you pay for your paint?Got a estament of $500.for tank, fenders, and side covers painted black.Seems like a lot to me for just a solid one color paint job.

out here in CA they are asking 6-700 for a single color! bastards!!
I am painting my bike in the next 2 weeks or so. I have got everything I need and if it turns out good and the process doesn't drive me nuts, I'd paint your set for cheap just for the experience. let me know if you can wait another few weeks.

Got my tank painted black and a little body filler (STUPID DEER!) for $200.
Hard to compare - it was through a friend. I would think tank and fenders for $500 sounds a little high, but not ridiculous.

Most single color paints cost between 500-800 around here.

900 for tank and fenders in candy red with ghost flames.
$500 actually sounds like a deal. Just make sure they dont use single stage paint. It will fade after 2 years and look like dark grey instead of black. Our body shop charges $600 for a solid black paint job. But, we guarantee that it wont fade and we use House of Kolors paints with are .13mils thick to prevent chipping.

KCM is top notch. I have seen their work in person and I will be sending my new tank to them for a stretch and paint real soon.

Just remember you get what you pay for. Even though there are alot of good painters out there, shop around don't go with the first thing you see or like.

I may take you up on an offer like that calicruiser. I live in So. Cal myself and need to get my ACE repainted black after I clean up the rear fender. Let us know how the paint turns out on your ride.
