I installed them last night. I found my cables / brake line no longer reaches the bars. Moreover, no pre drilled holes in the bars for the switch boxes. I called CP and they said re-route cable/line inside trees. Would you recommend this or should I purchase longer lines? Anyway's the 1.5 bars are kickass!

Gangster,
That is a perfectly acceptable practice, just be sure that the cables can't get in a bind when you turn the bars from lock to lock. I wouldn't spend the bucks on longer cables if the factory ones will work in this fashion. They'll probably end up more hidden this way too, so it's a win-win situation!

You'll be able to hide the wires inside the bars, but I don't think you'll get any cables inside??? That 90* turn from the bars to the riser is a bitch just when running wires. My bars are 1-1/2" too. As for the tab hole, you can drill that yourself (I did, it wasn't hard) or you can file down the tab on your housings. Shouldn't cause any problems, lots of people have done it that way.
I ran the wires inside my bars for the signals and starter, etc. It's a pain in the ass to do. Be prepared to get frustrated when you do it, but well worth it. Try rerouting the cables that are too short to see if you can gain any slack. But as Nav said, make sure they aren't going to bind or anything when you turn your wheel lock to lock.
You can get wire lube for fishing wire, most electrical wholesalers will have it. I didn't know about it until after I did mine. I ran each wire individually, on the one side there's 12 wires I think, that's the hard side.

I ran my wires through the 1.5 bars and had the whole job done in roughly 2 hours. First I pulled the pins out of the connectors then taped all the wires together staggered about 2 - 3 inches back on each other. I attached a weight to a length of fishing line and easily pulled all the wires through. Really the hardest part of it for me was putting the pins back in the connectors because I used a wire diagram which illustrated color code, not uncommon for auto - motorcyle manuals, but I'm color blind. Remember to put the throttle sleeve and housing on the bar before mounting the bars. I think you are finding that you can't install it after the bar is mounted. Once on the bar and the bar is mounted there shouldn't be any cable length problems.

I've heard some have problems, which i did on one side and for others it goes smooth. I guess it could be a weld on the inside. I got it done in a couple of hours, but the one side I did a couple of times because I lost my fish wire. BTW, I hate wiring! I took pictures of the plugs for the pin/wire location and then did a drawing so I'd have even more back up.
