The bike will be "polar gray" (med/light gray) with a 2 3/4" "brilliant black" racing stripe down the center of everything flanked by an 1/8" black stripe on each side of the main stripe. (see pic#1:)

Lower fork legs are getting gloss black pwdrcoat as we speak along with my Tseb struts. I am still deciding on what to do about a seat. Thinkin bout a springer seat since I am runnin the struts but don't know if it goes well with the look of my bike or not.

Any suggestions, comments, or otherwise useless rambling is appreciated! thanks guys. . . .and gals

oh yeah, I am prepping everything for paint now and I will be painting it within the next week or two if all goes as planned:)

Go with the springer man! It would run good with the lines on your scoot!

Chop the back fender a lil <----- just my 2 cents.

I would say no . I love the look of the springer seat I run one myself. You have a streched tank . I think that might not work .

I have more time to explain . If your looking to make your bike look lower by stretching the tank and struts and drag bars , then adding a seat that will ad 3'' in hieght will probibly riun the lines . More comfortable yes . They are also shifty and wiggley . It will take a little getting used to before you grind pegs agian safely . I use 1/2" neoprene on the pan and it is far more comfortable than stock . I like it because it is also low profile . With the the pan and the cover it is only 3/4" thick . Go to 21deluxe.com check it out . Custom seats for ss750"s . They can make more than just springers .Custom designs , letters , colors , and all hand stiched . I paid 150 bucks for mine . Check out the ebay store they have seats that are done allready that you can bid on and get for less . Lots of custom parts for our bikes like jockyshifters and stuff . If you don't see what you like send them an email for one off parts.

Hey Cali,What rear fender is that?
About a seat.Get a slick one to ride,Then if you want to show the bike,or just ride it in to bike night, get another one!! Check out that link I posted last week on trick out that seat. They said they could do anything!
I hope my dad brings home the info I need from a buddy this weekend. They have always rode, and owned horses.A friend of ours always made our tack. Now he is suppose to turn me on to some tools, and good leather cheap! If this is the case
I will be making good seats,at poor boy cost by summer!!

Hey Joush, the bike is looking good man. I like the direction your going with it. Gotta change that stock head light though. By the way I'm interested in your solo seat if you want to get rid of it. Let me know.

Sinister,
thanks for the suggestions, I DO know what you mean by the springer changing the lines of the bike and that is why I wanted everyone's opinion. I think that a slim solo seat will look better on the bike.

Tangeld,
the rear fender is stock! I stripped the paint and bondo'd the hole and just primed it last night and it turned out great. NO MORE HOLE! I did see your post about seats and will check it out again.

Moore,
thanks for the comps, man. Yours is looking mighty fine also!! I will let ya know about the seat and I like the headlight! Got some black powder on it (waiting for it to be delivered) and hopefully that will do the trick! I'll post pics as I get things back from powdercoating.

thanks fellas!

I by no means am any kind of mod expert, but what you got goin' on looks cool so far. I'd add a chrome radiator cover, but that's just me, maybe that's too cliche...or you could paint it too, to match the rest of the bike. Leaving the black one on there is just to dull to me. Unless you go with an all black theme with smokey chrome. It's not much of a mod but it's just something I think Shadows should have. But that's my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions...

M@man,
I am going with a med/light gray color with black accents (bars, racing stripes, lower forks struts, etc.) so I think that the rad. cover is cool in black. If I were going with more of a chrome accent I would def. do it! thanks for the input, man, I appreciate it!

Razor,
yeah I am going more and more away from the springer from what peeps are saying. I think the more low profile seat will look better. thanks!

The seat looks trick if you go bobber . New skool tank streches and drag bike bars and pipes clash with the old skool . You got a great look going for you . I had planed on going that way but changed my mind after I found the guy who made my seat . I also had to do my Burbs in black header wrap so they would not get lost in a sea of chrome . They have a chunky organic feel and really stand out on their own because of that .

yeah I can agree with that. Wonder if there is a way to blend the two styles. I have seen some bikes with their tank stretched and a springer and it looked great. Groundhogg over at TSW. His sigpic is wicked! But his rear fender is chopped also. Iwill stick with the pro street, low beefy look.

I think it can be done . I just don't know how . I have alot of atemps at it that did not work out . They have a couple that " work " on Burbs site . The key must be to remove any and all stock looking parts .

Remove the honda stickers fromt he side covers. The seat will look a lot better without them!!

Hey Josh,

Check this SS with springer & stretched tank, maybe you have seen it though.

In my own opinion, this looks just fine & blending quite well. But yes, I will prefer your current solo seat.

Damn nice ride!!

Mr.Sinister
03-18-2005, 08:49 AM
I don't think it blends . If the front end was a springer it might be differant . I like the bike and the seat , just not together . It is original and very clean . Everything on that bike flows exsept the one thing that does not belong . The seat overpowers the fender bob the great pipes , the lowered stance .

ghost,
yes I have seen that bike it is groundhog's from TSW. That is where I originally got the idea that it might work. But, I think I will stick with a low, soloseat. thanks for the pic, that bike looks great!!!

No prob. Hey, good luck with your project & post some pictures when it's done ok. Damn Josh, I really like your HK & front fender!

Sinister, well..the seat really call for attention. Still think that bike looks good :crazy3:

Mr.Sinister
03-18-2005, 11:48 AM
I said I like it . I just think the focus falls on the seat and not all the other hard work . No balance . A springer front end would offset the seat and draw attention to all the other details . If the bike had a non springer solo it would seem less custom . However you might notice the pipes first . Or the stretch tank or bobbed fender or the paint .It just steals all the love man .

Ghost_Rider
03-18-2005, 12:06 PM
hmm..yea I think you're right. I'd like to try riding it, the springer must be fun.

Mr.Sinister
03-18-2005, 09:08 PM
The springs are in the middle of the seat . I hope his seat hinge is really strong . Springer seats like the one I have can be kinda shifty . The springs on mine are farther apart and the seat still shifts . Don't get me wrong , I love mine . It does have charactoristics that some people would not like . I think it is fun and more comfortable than the stock seat . Some people want a lazyboy . It is not that comfortable .
