Sorry about two new threads in one day. I actually have one more, but want to do some more searches before I post about the third thread.

I removed the driver pegs off the new Phantom and put 1200 Gold Wing pegs on the bike. The way they are made sets the pegs about one inch forward and 3/4 inches down from the stock position. To get this it also moved the pegs outward about an inch and a half. I gained about 2 inches wider area for my feet in the swap.

The brake was just a matter of adjustment and an added bolt-on-pedal that extended the pedal outward to center the new peg.

The shifter was a puzzlement to me for a while. But after looking at it for a while I decided that it could be bent outward to center over the new GW pegs. After bending outward I had to tweak the toe shift part upward to keep in line with the peg. Thanks goodness the shifter is steel and not alum.

I then readjusted the level of the shifter and all works quite well together.
Pictures coming.

I have added a LOT of comfort to my riding pleasure and ease of shifting by doing this.

Sorry for being so long winded but my mod was hard to explain.:knife:

Hey Ron post pics!

I'm going to, but I have to take them first. My wife took the good camera to a rodeo about 150 miles away this weekend when I was working on it and I had to go to the VA hospital about 40 miles away to renew my prescriptions Monday so....no pictures yet.

Today I hope!

Not a fan of those pegs, but you did a good job getting them to work.

As for looks they are so so.... but on a all black bike, actually , yep they prob look good in a full pic.
But, from a rider stand point they look comfy as hell!
not big like boards, but more contact area than standard.
Nice job!
Oh, and the kid at the rodeo, Thats awesome!
