Is the switch on the starter button an on-off momentary switch or is it an off-on momentary switch?

neither, It turns off the headlight while turning on the starter. so it is an off-off-on switch or somethign like that. Basically you have to turn off the headlight while starting to make sure you have enough juice to the starter.
You could rig up a standard on-off for the headlight, and then a momentary off-on for the starter.

That's shitty. My starter button had a wire break off(black/red) of it and my scoot won't start now. I tried to solder it back on but didn't work. Idon't want to buy a new starter button and thought a momentary switch would work.
