Will Harley throttle sleeves fit on our bikes. I know we have 1" handlebars but will the sleeves work with the cables:thumbsup:

I don't think they'll work straight out of the box. I believe the Harley ends are different then ours. I could be wrong. I do recall someone on TSW using them with some "grinding" to get them to fit. Not too sure if it was for the ends on the cables or something else.
I'm sure someone on here will have first hand knowledge for you.

You can use a set of the harley style grips. I have them on my bike, but they are kinda of a pain in the ass to get them on and everything back to working right on the throttle side. They are not a direct bolt on for our bikes. This is pretty much what you have to do to make them work.

Go ahead and plan on just taking the throttle cables lose from the carbs from the start it'll make it easier since you'll have to readjust the throttle once your done.

The throttle housing is a little smaller than the harley grips so you will need to take a drimal to open it up a little so that when you clamp it back around the grip it want bind up. Trial fit the throttle grip in the housing to make sure it's not going to bind up or hang on anything in the housing. You may have to take a razor knife and do a little trimming to the plastic on the throttle grip were it goes in the housing but you'll figure it out as you go.

On the housings their is a little tit that goes in a hole on the bottom of the handle bars. They are for alingment, spacing and to keep from the housings from twisting on the handle bars, but you really want need them anymore just grind them off. The harley grips are a bit shorter than the one's that come stock on the bike plus the housing's will tighten back down on the handle bars and not twist.

That's pretty much it other than it's going to be a little aggrivating and you may have to end up taking the throttle housing back off if something seems to be binding up. Once you initially moddify everything for the harley style grips and see how everything goes if you ever want to put a different harley style grip on it will be a lot easier. I've had three different harlely grips on my bike. As a matter of fact I have a set of the harley diamond plate style grips for sale if your interested that I had on my bike at one time. I'll take $25.00 plus shipping for them if your interested.
