Hey guys.....
I know Yo Muda and Ya_RLY are from the OKC area. Anyone else?
I just arrived here (OKC.....staying in a Hilton off of West 137th st) yesterday to write hail/tornado claims for the insurance company I work for.....you guys got some serious damage here. WOW......each time I turn on the news I think I see different photos of damage. I have also seen some of the photos coming in from some of my field staff....WOW, bad stuff.
Are you guys OK? Did any of you get damage or worse?
I know Muda...you're from Norman correct? Most all of the claims we are working are in Moore and Norman and then a few around Thundbird Lake.
How about the rest of the country? I know we have already had a pretty active catastrope season and it is JUST beginning this year. Floods in Tenn, Kentucky...Tornados in Texas, Ok, Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, Iowa......Lets here it guys, are you all still OK?

We are still drying out from the deluge in Nashville. 1.5 billion in damage.

Fish.....hope not too much was damaged for you. I've sure seen how hurricanes, tornados and floods can really turn lives inside out.
I was actually hanging around to see if I was headed to Nashville and the numbers for us (claims) just never built up high enough and then all of a sudden OKC got the tornados and in 1/2 day we already had over 200 claims made. That number is STILL climbing as people are digging cars out and inspecting for hail damage.

I'm in Moore. Looks like we're probably going to get a new roof, and I'm about 75% sure my car that was outside is going to be a total loss. Fuck it, it's all just stuff, and it's all insured. Could have been a whole lot worse. I may need to start Jeep shopping soon.

We are averaging about 50-50 on total losses. Some of these babies got hit with hail stones of OVER 5 1/4".....that is a freak of nature.....actually its total nature, but it is RIDICULOUS!!!! And it looks as though someone shot 5 or 6 'dud' missles through the front and rear glass of some of these vehicles.

I am not sure what insurance company you work for, but there will probably be more claims coming. The Nashville flood is now considered the worst non-hurricane disaster is US history. Not trying to make it a contest, but Oklahoma is somewhat used to storm disasters, (tornado ally), Nashville is not. They are calling it the "not ready for prime time disaster" due to the lack of media coverage compared with past storm disasters. It sucks for everyone, in both places. I have to go to OKC sometimes because we have a call center there for the company I work for.
In 2004, my house was hit by lightning and burned down. I know how it feels.

So.....got sent to OKC for the Tornados on the 10th of May......6 days later on Sunday the 16th a historic hail storm hit OKC. Causing more hail damage and to a magnitude like I have NEVER seen. There are places in this city that look like shoot-outs took place. Ended up with twice the number of claims out of the 2nd storm then we had in the storm that brought us here to begin with.
THEN....last night 6 or more tornados touched down in the immediate area, this place is unbelievable.
Hope everyone made it through the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
Fish......I really haven't seen much on the Tenn flooding, heard a little about New Orleans but not Tenn. Guess you were right, not much media coverage. Will look it up on line I to see what all has happened there.

And that is why they are calling it "the great flood that never happened". Normally I do not care so much about stuff like this, but couple the fact that it is 1.5 billion in damage, and the Great Dali Bama did not have the descency to do a fly-over, it is pretty sh*tty. There are priceless antiques, instruments, landmarks that are totally destroyed. Music City will never be the same. But the people here are strong. We will rebuild.

Is he an adjuster? Is there not a major oil spill happening? Are we not at war? Are we not in a recession? Is everything his fault?

Other presidents flew over natural disasters. Clinton over the Missisippi floods, Bush over katrina, to name a just a couple. We have been is a war in every single decade this century=no excuse. The recession is debatable, and even so, we have had one of those in every decade too=no excuse. Tennessee is a red state. No votes=no visit.
No one said anything about this being his fault, but the most expensive non-hurricane disaster in US history deserves a fly over, or at least a press conference.
