About the same here Frank. At my house it turned to rain for a little bit. According to news within 5 minutes wind really kicked up and it turned back to snow. I work up towards Boston and It was all snow. Even had thunder and lightning.

At home, they saw the rain and sent the plow drivers home! Had to call them all back real quick though. Too late though everything is packed down and a sheet of ice. I was gonna head out for a bottle of SoCo but said screw it.

we got 12-14 inches here. I'm sure if someone wants to read a good rant about snow they can do a search. I remember posting a few last year.

If memory serves me correct, it was just a tad chilly in Dallas yesterday.

Didn't snow here but damn cold. rode to town about 3 miles and got some gas for the scoot temp was about 48 and windy but it is in the teens or less at night. I feel Your pain though I use to live in Indiana about 45 mile north of indy (circle city) for about 32 years and said the hell with these damn cold winters and snow up to your ass. so we sold our house and moved to New Mexicoin in 1978 this is the first time in years it's been this cold here.

Did I mention lack of natural disasters . Hurricanes ,earthquakes , presidents , and tsunamis . None .We have small forrest fires in the easten part of the state during summers . Thats about it . Hardly any flying bugs and almost 0% humidity [ when it is not raining] . Put that snow in a bottle so the letter won't leak .

ah.... once knew someone from there that claimed that they tried not to let people know how nice it was because they'd want to come and stay and that the locals liked it just the way it was....
I never bought into it but perhaps they were telling it straight! Damn!

It is very mild . It is a great place if you like to go camping or fishing . We also have coastal rain forrest or high mountian desert with in about an hour of riding. Maby a week of snow all year . Our economy was hit pretty hard when Bush lost the first time and we had not been told he would take office anyway . It has stayed pretty much the same ever since . It was really good for about 8 years before that happened . I worked construction and rarely had a day off ! I got laid off like everybody else . Found myself applying for dishwashing jobs against 100+ other applycants . I got lucky and found my current job , but I hear it is still pretty bad .

The core reason for us moving here to Alabama was ecconomic as well. Jobs just flat dried up in technology in Michgian (actually all sectors but I saw the effect in technology). We figured if we had to move we might just as well move where it was warmer. It is warmer here in the Birmingham area than Michigan was but if I had it to do over again, I would have went just a little further south.
We still get freezing here, but found out we love Alabama. Great people (crappy drivers but).
