I just bought a set of LED turn signals and tried to instal them.... "plug and play" right? WRONG! When I plug them into the factory wires, they don't work... the signal indicator light on the tree doesnt even flash. But when I connect the directly to the battery, they work fine. The old one's work just fine though. Any suggestions? Is there something special about LED's and flashers? Hmmmmmm.....

The new lights came with the the same number of wires as the factory ones? They shouldn't hook up any different...make sure you got them pluged in the right wires. Sounds stupid but it usually is something like that.

Yep! It looks simple enough.... there's a ground and a hot wire on the bike... and also on the lights. :-(

Do some searching boys......we just had a thread about this very topic about 3-4 weeks ago (or something like that) and if you don't find what you are looking for, PM SSrider....he know all there is to know about LED's....even if you didn't buy them from him.

led doesn't draw enough power. the flasher is set to let the rider know when he has a light out, by flashing extra fast. when u hook up leds u need to change the flasher, as the leds draw so little power that the flasher thinks a bulb is out causing it to flash extra fast or not at all. i changed the flasher, and my led lights work just fine. u can also use a load equalizer if u have both bulb, and leds running on the same circuit
