Below is a pic of my new Shadow (New to me) You can't tell from the picture but the side covers are a dark blue instead of black. I intend to correct this in the near future and was orgionally thinking I would simply paint it black...

...I'm just thinkng that yawl might have done decals, or something in the past that I might want to consider while I change the color from dark blue to black?

Any Ideas?
Tanks, Ken...
Incase the picture insert didn't work here (http://www.belnken.com/bamakc750.jpg)is a link to the bike too.

I wish they had some real chromes too Sin, BamaKC there are real Chromes as Sin mentioned also chrome dress up add-ons available too. Now that I've decided what to do for my Tank I've got to change what I did for my side covers, I put on Chrome Medalions from J.C. Whitney in the center of the side covers and they look pretty good but now I've got to change them out so I can carry out the theme I've decided on :wink_2:

The chrome look nice don't they? But the budget is tight here right now. Taking all my spare change to get the bike in the first place, plus I have to equip me to ride this winter as one of the primary justifcations for the bike is econnomy. I know that is an oxymorn in this world but consider that my commuter ride now is a F250 SuperDuty 1/2 ton Pickem up truck. There is an ecconomy of scale in play :) !

I might dive into the chome replacements down the road a piece but right now I'm thinking that I will just pull off the old ones and apply some paint to them. I'm just thinking that while I'm at it there might be some ideas that I haven't thought of that would dress things up a bit more than just gloss black.

More I think about it 'Getter Done!' echos in my brain and save up for the chome is the end goal maybe.

Hey Sin those wouldn't happen to fit the Spirits would they, I know the Frames are similar but not exactly alike

why dont you try looking in our garages at the top of the page? There's alot of nice paint here. If you're just worried about the side panels, I say make them as personal as possible.

Hey Sin those wouldn't happen to fit the Spirits would they, I know the Frames are similar but not exactly alike They are way to big . My boss has them on his ACE . He rode in one night that I also rode in and I tried to see if they would fit but they won't .

wasn't there someone at TSW (I think Buck) selling kits so you could use Ace side covers on the spirits?

Buck's bike is a spirit, just assumed that's what he made the conversion for. I know a lot of people were asking about it over at TSW.

Maybe it wasn't Buck then.

I have the ace covers on my spirit.Roarn made a kit but I don't think he makes em anymore. If post a wanted ad on tsw and you can probably find a set.You have to trim the covers a bit and it uses brackets that bolt to the stock mounts to attach em.

Thanks, after Sin's post I was wondering who it was that I had seen advertising the kit.

My twin brother has an Ace 750 and when he bought his bike some one had purchased a chrome set, so they gave him the stock covers. I installed them on my spirit 750 and it made all the difference in the world to the look. But you do have to dremel the bottom of one of the covers to miss the buddy peg. One more thing only two of the pins will fit and not the third pin but it does not fall off. I have had mine for almost a year.
