:help:

I finally bought a bike jack. As nerve racking as it was I got the bike on the jack had it about 3 inches off the ground and thats it! The jack wouldn't pick it up any higher? I step on the pedal and the piston doesn't move!

It's a craftsman jack thats supposed to be rated for 1500 lbs. Think its possible for air to be in the ram or maybe its low on oil? The thing is brand spankin new it should be ready to rock n roll?

Anybody experience this with this brand jack?

This just plain sucks! :furious2:

I don't have a craftsman, but my jack has a 'lock' to lock it into position at a certain height. Make sure that this hasn't clicked in while you were jacking the bike up. I had it happen on the one I have and the bike doesn't go up or down.

LOL! nevermind, I see whats wrong. What a dumb ass I am.

I put the jack under the bike, strap it and start pumpin. Till I notice the tie downs are on the base of the jack not on the lifting part itself. So as I'm pumping the tie downs are gettin tighter. Its kinda dumb why wouldn't they put the tie downs on the lift part and not the jack base.

Sometimes I impress myself. :wall:
