I have a 2008 C2, so I am not sure if all bikes are like this or not. On the side of the engine case...

Not my actual bike, but you get the idea, is the Honda Emblem. Mine is recessed, I can't tell if this one is or not, and you can kind of get a fingernail under the edge and wiggle it a bit. Question is, is is just stuck on there, or are there pins that go in the case? If I rip it off, will I have holes that I need to fix? I want my bro to make me up a new Emblem for the spot, trying to ditch all Honda references just to cause confusion....

I believe mine is a decal under the clear, on both my 07 C2 and 07 Aero.


EDIT: sorry, didn't read that right, there is a guy on the AERO750 site that had a trophy maker make him a custom side emblem for the cover. I'll try and find it.

Got it, he just pried it off and took it to the trophy shop and had several made up, just stuck em on.

Shadow monster,i think he is refering to the one on the side case.I would have to venture to say its a decal.Use some fishing line or dental floss and see-saw it under,if decal,will come off.If it`s bolted from the inside(which i highly dought)it wont come off.

Yeah, I soppose the fishing line would tell for sure hey? I tend to just grab and pull, and it eithr comes off or breaks. Trying not to do that here. If it was bolted, it would need to be sealed and I am doubting that, but you never know.

And, the tank ones are under the clear... I will get those when I do the stretch. Maybe next winter, won't happen in riding season.

Cool, now I know for sure. Yeah, I am going to yank mine off for sure now. Going to get my bro to make up something that says "The Mistress" or just "Mistress" Haven't quite decided yet. I have skull picture he will use for the other side. They will be the clear bubble style emblem.

case is stamped "honda" & "shadow" is clear coated onto tank. all 08's like this.

however u can buy new cases that are blank.. cha-ching. But i can only think of 1 reason to remove it and thats your fear of being laughed at by HD riders who spent 10K more than you for a POS that leaks oil and is busted in the driveway! vroom vroom mothafuckaz

Your 08 has "SHADOW" stamped into the engine case??? which side?

I think the left side when sitting on it is stamped..... I still have to try to get the other side off but it deffinately is NOT stamped into the case. It is a stamped piece, but a seperate one for sure. My bro is a little backed up right now, so I am not in a huge hurry, but maybe this weekend I will pop it off.

My reason is two fold. I always remove the emblems on my vehicle. I like the clean looks and find no need to advertize the brand.

2nd reason is people are already confused as to what the bike is, I want them more confused! They always look around it till they find the Honda logo, the new trees will kill of the top Honda, the cases are the only thing left. The Shadow gives it away, but only if you know that.
