Does anyone know how to adjust a clutch on a 2003 750 spirit, My clutch start to engage pretty close to the end of travel on my lever. I know that my clutch is good and not worn, I also just drove a brand new 2006 spirit and noticed the same thing, that the clutch engages pretty close to the end of travel. I would like mine to engage at about half way threw the level. Anyone know a remedy?

If it is loose [ end of travel ] tighten it with the fixture on the lower right hand side of the motor case . The clutch sticks out of the top near the dipstick and conects to the adjustment fixture . I think . The lever for changing gears is conected to the foot lever on the left [ typing and thinking out loud ]. It should be able to be adjusted there, provided that the cable is not too streched from use .

The knee bone is connected to the leg bone, the leg bone is connected to the hip bone, the hip bone is next to the dick bone........

Mr Sinister that is correct. I just adjust mine. In your opinion, should the clutch ingage at the END of travel, somewhere near the middle, or close to the begining of when you start to release it..?????

Sin rarely comes on anymore.....depending on such factors as clutch wear and adjustment, it falls near the middle of a clutch lever's travel on a properly functioning bike., and is known as the "Friction zone". The friction zone is where the bike's engine begins to slow down as your releasing the clutch lever and the bike begins to move forward, that should be at about 1/2 release, and the bike would stall if you continued to release the lever didn't give it throttle.
