Well I've had a helluva time since I last posted. I'm all healed up from the wounds I received in Afghanistan well except for the scar on my face and I'm still deaf in my right ear. Back In December had to go to the hospital for abdominal pain. Only took 4 trips to the emergency room before they found out I had somehow perforated my large intestine and had to have surgery to remove a portion of it. On my 5th trip to the ER they discovered I had developed blood clots in my lungs.
So needless to say I haven't been doing much riding since I've been home which is a shame because I picked this up the day before I got sick

2004 Big Dog Ridgeback with a 107 ci S&S motor and Baker 6 speed. I about flew off the thing the first time I took it out. I was only able to put about a 100 miles on it before I got really sick and wasn't able to ride.
I've still got the Spirit for now, however it will go up for sale here in a couple months. Not much has changed on it except due to Base Regs here I had to reinstall the chainguard, install a front fender and I added a Scootmods sidemount. I'm also going to install some turn sig mirrors since the same gay ass regs say my front sigs are too close together.

Damn Gunny, I don't know whether to congratulate you on the new scooter or tell you how bad I feel for how fucked up the war left you. Either or I suppose. Sure glad your still with us though.

Congrats will do. Like I said my hearing is the biggest loss from the war, good thing I have 2 ears. This shit with my guts isn't related, as a matter of fact my docs are baffled because this doesn't normally happen to guys my age. Anyway I'll make a full recovery just gonna take some time that's all. Believe me not a day has gone by that I'm not thankful to still be here.

Hay Letherneck... sorry to hear about the battle damage "We get the purple medal for being in the wrong fucking place at the wrong fucking time." You were not one of the guys that were hit near Fire Base Munoz almost a year ago were you?
Hay Brother.... get copies of avery bit of your medical paperwork you can get your hands on, and get a VFW or DAV rep to help with your VA claim when the time comes... TRUST ME.
AND ... get well soon... be nice to see that BDC at Rolling Thunder this year.

Congrats on the new ride bruddah. How long do you get to stay in couchistan before they try to send you back? I got lucky and don't have to do anything big for at least 12 months.

Indefinitely right now, I'm in a non deployable status due to my health. Looks like my unit is heading back around Oct though. We'll see.
