Can't miss it thats for sure....looks like it just might get in the way when it comes time for rejetting and A/F adjustments or cable adjustments.

It removes pretty fast and easy if adjustments are necessary and can’t see that being to frequent. And I thought it needed to be a decent size to cover up the un-sightly carb and it gives a good balance between the coil side and the stock 10 gallon air cleaner. I hope it will all pull together and if not, it'll get changed it's just metal and easy fab work. Thanks for the comment

Thanks for the comps, I appreciate it. Most of the ideas come from this site and old chops n bobbs; just try’n to keep it simple and clean.

I just finished box'n the tunnel of this tank...long way to go before paint but I can start to see the light. The tank was off of a 1100 Sabre, I think. It has a better Bobber look from the side; little bit more of the tear drop look and was able to raise it about two inches. I am going to remove the original gas cap/bung and maybe weld in a Crime Scene Speedster gas cap. It should be crazy if nothing else.

Hey thanks Slow, they only took me about 2 1/2 hrs to cut out. All in all I have about eight hours in them right now. All I lack is the linkage and to knurl some 1 3/8" alum. bar stock for the pegs.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I haven’t done too much on the scoot in about a week and a half; been traveling for work. My rear Mohawk fender, Sparto Tailight and engine fins were sitting at the door when I arrived back home, so it should be interesting pretty soon. I ordered a custom springer seat from Rich Phillips Cycles; he puts together some bad ass solo's at a good price , it should be here this week and then I’ll mock up the whole rear. All I wanted to do was change out the stock tank for the 1100 Sabre tank and and all this shit started; I think it’s going to be a never ending process. Oh well it keeps the sanity

Did you make this bracket or buy it? I am trying to find something exactly like this for my 86 VT700.
