Hey n00b, I know you got your avatar pic, but nothing in your gallery. Unless you got one of the ghost bikes :ghost:. Post some pics so we can see your ride. Be proud of your shit.

I got the 4" on mine, Joe didn't make the 6" at the time I bought mine, probably would have gone with the 6" for a little bit more stretch.

Welcome noob!

4" is a good fit for me and looks good on the Aero, flip side I have added the heel shifter from scoots as well. All good stuff.

Been looking at it, just not sure how I feel about it. Also, love the seat. Almost bought that seat a few weeks ago. But Saddleman told me that the aero & the C2 have a different shape of the rear fender, near the seat. And that there would be a gap. Over time this would cause stress to the seat pan and crack it. Thought of filling the gap with something, just not too sure if I want to bother.

I've added the heel/toe to my Aero as well, it doesn't work well with the side cover unless you have forward control extensions, love mine, never have to lift a shift again. Also considering it for my C2.

took a quick pic this morning, I did have it on before my extensions with no problem. I am still getting use to it. Just put them on before the snow. It fits on snug, other forums talk about poor fit and installation problems but I had no issues once you get it on the shaft.

I am having trouble with my brake coming back up. When i apply the rear brake it seems to stick and the not come back up. remember i put the 6" scoot mod forwards on it. It gets annoying having to take your toe and bring the break up when ever you take off... It doesnt drag just makes the brake light stay on and makes stopping kind of a pain in the a**...

How much is it sticking? Check the springs if the pedal is sticking. If it's just the brake light, I had the same issue. You have to re-adjust the brake light switch. It is attached to the pedal with a spring, the little black thing that has the wires coming out of it. There is an adjustment nut/screw that you can loosen or tighten to move the switch up or down to get the correct pressure for the switch to work correctly again.

I have my heel shifter set up stock and love it... have had no problems with it at all with it hitting the case or slipping...

It is the tension to pull it back into place after you hit the brake.... I think its too tight where it attaches to the pivot point on the extension kit...I think i will just put some grease in there and see what happens when it warms up (currently 28 degrees here) and take it for a ride.

Fowlweather... do you have forwards on your bike? I was looking into the same crash bars but They dont make them for my bike (750 Aero)

I couldn't find any highway bars that would work with extensions, 4" or 6" but I did retro fit a set of cobra bars onto my Aero with 4" extensions

The left side bolted right up to the second ext bolt, but I had to make a small shim for the right side in the second picture below. The holes around the top mounts needed to be elongated to allow for the slight swing forward in angle. So it is possible to put highway bars on with extensions, 4" extensions anyway, just takes a little tweeking.

I don't have forwards just the lindby bar... you have the same bike as me so you should be able to find the Lindby bar for your Aero... I'm putting forwards on the bike... if I can't get the lindby bar to work with them like MS did then I'm going to sell them off and find a set of cobras then...

How tall are the guys with the 6" forward controls? I'm about 5'9" and I don't want to buy the 6" if I'm going to be too stretched. I thought about just getting highway pegs

I'm about 5' 10" (5' 11" with my shoes) and I am going to go with 4"......I'm a little concerned that 6" would be too much and I would constantly be wanting to scoot up to meet them.

I have the 6in now and they do work with the lindby bar... but you have to make a bracket for the brake side...

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s292/idahofowlweather/bike/100_7707.jpg

the shift side you will have to bolt right up to the forwards..

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s292/idahofowlweather/bike/100_7702.jpg

and the top mounting tab on the bar will need to be bent at the right angle... nothing a little heat and a hammer can't bend...

doesn't really matter how tall you are... it matters what your inseam is... if you want to run 6 in then you better be at least a 34in inseam...

that thing has been thru hell and back...lol... used to drag it in right hand sharp turns... since the bike was lowered 2.5... not its fine I think since the forwards raise up the pegs a little...?

Anyone had problems with the scootmods 6" extension kit. I installed mine today and durning the first set of shifts it bent both my stock rod and the extension rod i was sent. It seems to be set correctly and the connector is correct but when i shift down if bows in the middle. Any suggestions?
