I got a tape of that about 11 years ago . I still crack up . It used to be on what TV people call feed . I had a friend who worked for a local station who made me a recording . All network stuff is sent to local via feed national comertials , infomertials , sitcoms . It never stops . It gets sent in over satilight and there is so much that when local is running regional programing sometimes things like that end up on feed as a joke . Mostly because nobody thinks anyone is whatching it . I watched that tape for 5 years before I new that guys name .

I love the speaking in tounges no dub needed . I love some of the other things he says too . He is absolutly shameless when asking for money . I laugh my ass off when he says even if you are hungery send 10 or twenty dollars and the lord will feed you . I was a devout christjan for 24 years and went to church 2 to 3 days a week . I decided that it made me very unhappy and that I only did it because I was trying to believe in something I could never feel . I converted to Asatru when I was 26 . I find it very comical now and still watch alot of christjan tv . It is so overblown with the fake tears and pleas for your last dollar for charitys that don't exsist. Even if it means not taking your pills .

I have always been an individual and rarely seek the opproval of others . I am oppinionated and confratational by nature . I would openly debate my beliefs and ask questions that bothered everyone . Hey Sinister... pick up a book called "A New Kind of Christian" by Brien McLaren... you might find it interesting.
I did its about a pastor who becomes burned out and befriends a science teacher . He decides to take a noncreatonist view and not try and live by the artificial costructs that the modern evangelicals and fundamentalists pose as fact . It is an effort to bridge the gap between literal interpratation of the most edited book/reliegan and science . I think it does well and hope Christians read it . Discounting evolution because it is not a chapter in the bible seems pretty obsurd to me and always has .I believe that guy lives in portland now and has a thriving ministery .

I think it covers more than the creation/evolution debate. In fact, I don't think that is the main point of the book. I think McLaren uses that debate to highlight the things that you were discussing earlier in this post. Many people believe what they believe because they were told to believe it.

I think the point is that people need to get outside of Churchianity and start being real.

I was a full time youth pastor for 5 years. I have not been to church in almost a year and a half. Why? Because many people in the churches I ministered at thought that I was the paper that they wiped with. How is that "loving your neighbor as yourself"?

I never made enough money and asked to many questions . I have an iq of 145 and thier simple answers don' t cut it for me . I have a need to fight and I do in a gym . Sorry I got so uppity . And english is a 3rd languag for me .I did not learn it until I was 6 . I speak it far better . I felt bad about my last post and worried I had gone to far . Once again I am sorry . When I was in college I was a bio major . When you write a paper it is in APA format . All gramatical and spelling errors magikly fix them selves with the push of a button. What is scary is that I score really high in lingustitics but can't spell very well .

I usualy post in the morning after work and a beer or 6 . I have to sleep during the day so the beer and a large dose of benadryl 50 mgs and 6mgs of melatonin . I have quite a few leaf blowers and cars with loud stereos . Little kids screaming and phone calls ect .
