OK, I am between girlfriends so I need some abuse ...
I AM A NOOB! Let it fly!!!
I have a fairly brand spankin' new VT750C9 (thats '09 for the challenged) that is stock, stock, stock. I have been lurking and searching the site and have found this to be a pretty cool forum. I hot my 600 service in 10 days and only have about 1400 miles on it right now.
I am nearing 50 but have had many bikes in the past including a '73 CB360, '78 CB750K (wish I still had it), a few Harleys (molar rattlers, but great rides) and some other smaller, dirt bikes when I was younger.
Over the next year or so I want to look at pipes (+ obviously jetting), intake, seat change, etc but not much more; maybe a fly shield. I'd rather take my time tweaking this ride than rush to change it out. I really like the bike a lot - its really well behaved and when I need to crank it through a turn it responds crisply with a strong counter steer and then comes right back when I want it to.
OK, now you can blast me with the "fuck offs" and the "welcomes" :)

My first bike was a mini trail 50.
Was pulling friends on a wood 24 ct. Coke crate and must have gotten a leak
in the gas line.
Damn thing caught on fire burned all to hell.
Took to the dump.
Oh well live and learn right.
WRONG!
Next bike ran into rear of parked car.
Talk about your nuts coming to a dead stop.

Yeah, pipes, air cleaner and a jet kit are on the near horizon. A small-ish fly screen however I think will be first. The 9" fly screen I think is a little too small and I definitely don't want a billboard in front of me :freak: so I have been searching this forum and on line as well for a while

I use a MS hellcat, small, un obtrusive, keeps the wind off your chest on the highway, and handle bar mounted so it's easily removable for around town riding.

Incest doesn't scare me as much as the beard and belly! Arizona! WOW talk about so beautiful country to ride! I've only ever seen it trapped behind 4 wheels but it is a pretty amazing landscape!

Yeah, Bill (handle is Big BF) is a pretty amazing guy. He's retired and set up mechanic work all across the US with fellow Valkyrie riders to pay his way across the country so he could see/meet people. He was on the road for a few months at a time for about 2-3 summers.
