I've been checking out the Cobra Lo-Boy Shotgun and Vance-Hines Cruzer . . . Cobras are more expensive but are they worth it?? I guess ANYTHING would sound better than the stockt!
I ride a 2002 Honda Shadow A.C.E. Deluxe -- she's a sweetie!!

I have the Lo-boys on my Aero and a set of V&H straight shots on my Spirit C2 and the lo-boys have no where near the sound or depth of sound that the V&H have.

Yep. but I opened up 2 chambers and am planning on opening the other 2 this winter when i rejett and get a new air intake. Right now i have my air mixture screws turned out to 3 1/2 turns, but it pops a little on decel. Sounds pretty good though. You can make the 2 into 1 exhaust sound almost as good as a set of aftermarkets.

One of the problems with aftermarket pipes for the Ace's is that the selection is small. All of the Cobra's that would fit the ACE look to skinny. They might look good on a Spirit, but the ACE needs a bigger pipe to fit the look of the bike. The only manufacturer to make good looking pipes for the ACE is Hardkrome, and they're $600 +. Too steep for me.

I run with the Cruzers on my 2003 ACE. Nice sound. None of the Harley guys give me crap when I open them up. Sorry, I haven't taken a picture of the bike since I put them on this summer.

I got V&H Cruzers on my C2 with a stage 2 DynoJet kit installed & a Kuryakyn Hypercharger . I am very happy with the sound of these pipes.

Where did you get your hypercharger? I'm going to get one this winter and would like to find the best price. Right now the best i could find is 250, and i believe that is with the adapter: http://www.meancycles.com/Home.asp?PartID=196690&AccCategoryID=2353&AccCategoryTypeID=0&BikeModelID=5482&ManufacturerID=0&BikeType=Cruiser&CompanyID=0#application

The Cruzers are probably the nicest available reasonably priced pipes out there for sure, but i still think the the lines of the stockers look better. Just personal preference. If i had my way and could spend the money i would have the HardKrome long pipes though, they look wicked awesome.

Honestly, I bought mine off ebay. I paid $190 +$8 shipping for it. Brand new, in the box. I just kept looking "Kuyrakyn Hypercharger" , until one day I decided to put in a search with the model # I got off Kuryakyn's website. I found mine listed as " Kuryakyn 9432 Hypercharger Kits for Metric Cruisers" In the auction it said nothing about what bikes it fit. Just listed part # and that it was NIB
It came with adapter & partial jet kit. Main Jet & Vacuum Jet. I already had Stage 2 Dynojet installed. Just changed to slightly bigger main jet & put in Vacuum Jet ( Very much Needed ! ! I lost my bottom end until I put it in.)
Love the looks of it, and made a big difference in power.

I have Cruzers on my '03 ACE. They were on the bike when I bought it (I also have the stock pipe). I have pics in my gallery. I like the way they look and I LOVE the sound. They are loud. Sometimes it takes being heard to be seen. The roar of those pipes saved me from being run over by a mini van driving whore who didn't see me until she heard 'em.

Lynne, do you still have the baffles in them ? I've been thinking of taking them out, but I don't want to be too loud and obnoxious.

Mine is pretty loud. I like the nice low tone when the bike first starts up & idles. I might just leave the baffles in. A.K.A. - be nice to the neighbors.

Dcfam, I'm with you . . . I like the look of the 2 to 1, but haven't found anything out there that will fit and within my price range. Santa is getting me new pipes for Xmas, so I've just got to decide between the Cobras and Vance Hines!

I would have Santa bring you a hypercharger and jet kit and open up your stocker. more performance for your buck. Just my 2 cents.
