Tire question

So, the front tire on my spirit is pretty dry rotted and needs replacing. The tire size on there now is 110/80/19. A friend of mine has a spare tire that's a 100/90/19. I know it will be a little more narrow and a little bit bigger profile. But, will it work and will it change the handling characteristics at all. I'm guessing not, but I thought that I would check and see what everyone else thought. Thanks.

I put a 110/90 on mine and it made the speedo more correct. The tire size you suggest has about the same side wall height but a little more narrow, you won't notice any change in handling.

Just take the fender off, I did:bucktooth

it will come closer to the fender a bit but only by 2mm. and it will only be 1cm narrower. there will be a difference in handling, but you prob won't notice it. as for the fender, i believe there should be enough room to fit an extra couple of millimeters.
