Okay I've been out of the Bikin Game for 11 1/2 years :shame: Just got my SS750 Sept. 14th:happy: And today went on my first organized ride in 12 years and noticed a serious lack of Young Riders ie: 25 to 30 except a few cute passengers :wink_2: What's up Gang:rolleyes5 I know there buying Bikes though they more than likely not cruisers whats the deal do they not play well with others or is it V-Twins are an Old folks ride????? We have a pretty good cross-section of folks from 30 to mid-60's. I think a lot of who is in your group depends on attitudes toward riding. We don't care who rides with us or what they ride...as long as they ride with some common sense and don't endanger anyone.

Naturally, we have a pretty good cross-section of bikes, which to me, makes it more interesting. Some of the Gold Winger Chapters up here are kind of snooty and only want "their kind" but we really don't run into that too often.

Find people you like to ride with, go out and have a great time. Keep talking about it and you'll find others wanting to join in the fun too. :wink_2:

I went to my slow roll class today and nobody wanted to go slow .They went 100% while I went maby 50% . I am working on being more technical and less brute force . Even at fight weight 170lbs I have a benchpress over 315lbs and do bicept curls with 190 lbs . Retard strong . It sucks to loose to some one you can beat against pillers and walls and throw across the room . Then the asshole talks some shit ! I wanted to scream and kill . I need a work out after my work out to blow off steam .

I tried some cymbalta for a while. It is for mental patients (Tiny takes it!) but a side affect is it helps to control nerve pain. Every morning, I would get up and my wife would be scared of the way I looked! My eyes would be bugged out! She asked me to stop taking it. I didn't like it either. Felt like I had millions of ants crawling all over my legs at night! SHIT!

I am from the south, there are no "Good old boys" here. Everyone is divided into clicks and one will not go with the other (oil and water). I ride to have fun and the HD guys have fun even if they are buttheads. The Honda guys just want to ride but do nothing fun and they are buttheads also. I find that when I run accross a single rider, talk awhile, we can ride with no problems. It won't matter if he is on a BMW, or whatever. No matter how trivial, you do it, put it on there...then, request a spot bonus for recognition of your excellent performance, your willingness to take on additional duties without direction from your supervisor, etc...you get my drift? :wink_2:

Not sure how your organization is set but you could also ask them to reclassify your position (and salary) if they would like for you to continue doing all these extra duties (a nice way of asking for a raise).

Just don't go off half-cocked. They'll see you as uncooperative and not a "team player" and can/will use that to keep you from getting extra $$$'s. You don't have to kiss ass but just be respectful.

What your describing (unfortunately) happens everywhere. It's all in how you use it to move your career forward.

If they won't meet you half-way, take that job description and rework it into a good resume and go to a competitor. :happy:

Our Dachshund is like that too - we can't let him off leash or he's gone. Try to catch one of those little buggers...they can RUN. He was caged 24/7 the first year (or so) of his life - we don't know if that has something to do with it or if he's just following scent. He's a little hunter, that's for sure. We have a pretty good cross-section of folks from 30 to mid-60's. I think a lot of who is in your group depends on attitudes toward riding. We don't care who rides with us or what they ride...as long as they ride with some common sense and don't endanger anyone.

Naturally, we have a pretty good cross-section of bikes, which to me, makes it more interesting. Some of the Gold Winger Chapters up here are kind of snooty and only want "their kind" but we really don't run into that too often.

Find people you like to ride with, go out and have a great time. Keep talking about it and you'll find others wanting to join in the fun too. :wink_2:

Sorry but I don't see the fasination with Sportys. They're the "cheap" HD which is probably the big motivator, but they are the hardest bikes to ride. Their center of gravity is too high. I'd rather ride a Rebel and look like a damn crab.

We've looked at Harley's in showrooms and have sat on quite a few of their larger models that we like but I can't bring myself to pay the money for something that is going to require a ton of maintenance & where I have to monitor riding conditions so it doesn't overheat.

I bought a bike to ride, not sit in the garage and look purdy.

The Bikes I looked at to get back ridin were The SS750 , The 883 Sporty and the 800 Vulcan

Laid them out side by side on powersports net head to head and the SS750 won out
