Metal for Struts

What is the best kind of metal to use for struts. Was thinking somekind of round bar but didn't know what size or maybe a 3/4in. thick flat piece.

There're several options...and many here have fabbed their own...but....


....most of the time swingarm becomes misaligned----not parallel to to pavement.


If you want a one-of-a-kind, cut and reweld the (upper/sub) frame to lower the ass-end
